Akil Baddoo will DH for the Mud Hens tonight to begin a rehab assignment that will likely last thru weekend. Derek Hill will start for Hens in OF to begin his rehab.

Tigers seemed to have lost some steam the last week..playing very tired looking baseball..also not helping when you have to play Greiner Reyes and 2 Castro's night after night..difficult to score runs.

I'm curious if Kreidler would have gone 0-4 last night would DET be buying a SS this winter.

Point being, they need someone to play SS next year and beyond. I don?t know what their plan is. I don?t think the plan is that it will be Kreidler and I don?t think any amount of MiLB home runs this season alters that.

With the news that Julio Teheran is not even close to returning to the mound, the Detroit Tigers have maintained a disturbing trend under GM Al Avila in signing starting pitching that gets injured early in the season and never pitches again that year.

In 2019, it was Matt Moore and Tyson Ross. Last year, Ivan Nova. And, of course, some would include the 5-year adventure with Jordan Zimmermann in which he did lengthy stints on the IL each of the 5 years he was with Detroit.

Let's hope that for next year's roster, Avila includes both A. J. Hinch and Chris Fetter in discussions before any other free agent pitchers are signed. Teams use analytics and Edgertronic cameras to analyze injury potential before signing pitchers. Have the Tigers?

That might be the first game I watched this entire season from start to finish. It wasn't due any of the Tigers...it was for Ohtani. That guy is amazing. He's probably having the best season by any player since Bonds???
