Quintin Berry back in Detroit Tigers' lineup, Danny Worth makes second straight start.
Detroit Tigers manager Jim Leyland told reporters Wednesday night that he'll no longer be discussing decisions behind his lineups.
But that doesn't mean you can't, right? Go ahead. Have at it.
The Tigers close out their four-game series against the Los Angeles Angels today with right-hander Max Scherzer slated to take the mound.
Scherzer, who is 2-0 with a 3.50 ERA in his last three starts, will start opposite right-hander Jerome Williams, who is making his second start since spending almost a month on the disabled list.
A couple lineup observations: With a right-hander on the mound for the Angels, Leyland has penciled Quintin Berry back in the lineup, hitting him second behind Austin Jackson.
Right-handed hitter Ryan Raburn spelled Berry in left field Wednesday night with left-hander C.J. Wilson starting. He responded by going 1-for-3 with an RBI.
Utility infielder Danny Worth will receive his second straight start at second base with Ramon Santiago and Raburn available off the bench. After the club's 7-1 win last night, Leyland admitted that Santiago has been "treading water a little bit, playing too much."

Key hit earns Danny Worth return trip to Tigers' lineup.
A case of one good game deserving another?
Apparently so.
It's not that Danny Worth hadn't started two consecutive games this season before starting his second in a row Thursday.
At one point in late May / early June, he started five in a row. But a calculator has not been needed to keep track of his recent at-bats.
So when Worth got an important hit Wednesday night in the Tigers' 7-2 victory over the Angels, there was more than the usual measure of satisfaction to it.
And because it came on a 2-0 count with runners on first and second — with Worth getting the green light to swing away instead of the bunt sign — it felt even better.
Worth's single to right loaded the bases with no outs in the second, helping to send the Tigers on their way to a four-run inning.
Worth was given the bunt sign on the first pitch, but it was a ball. Same thing on the second pitch.
"I would have been thrilled on either pitch if he'd gotten the runners over," said manager Jim Leyland.
On 2-0, however, the bunt sign was taken down because C.J. Wilson had to throw a strike — and Worth was more than pleased to oblige with a hit.
"Being in the nine-hole, not playing as much, and struggling a bit this year," he said, "I thought he might keep the bunt on, but he took it off."
And when he saw it was off?
"I was wide-eyed," said Worth. "I wanted to get a meaty pitch, put a good swing on it, and that's what happened."
Worth said it felt as good as any contribution he's made this season.
"It's always good to help out somehow," he said. "For me this year, if I can do anything, it's good. Just trying to help out any way I can."
On the heels of that helpful hit, and with Ramon Santiago hitting just .167 in his last 10 games, the opportunity to start two consecutive games opened up at second base.
