I love how Dan Dickerson puts the emphasis on "Strike Three called" and "Got Him" with the fastball.

He wasn't even HALFWAY after the THROW by the catcher.

He stopped running when he saw Peralta strike out. I am not saying it was a great move but I can see why he did it. He was confident Peralta was gonna put it in play but didn't want to end the inning on a dp for all the same reasons you guys a saying it was a dumb move.
 
when did avila get so predictably bad at the plate? didn't he used to have power the other way a couple years ago?
