Tigers vs. braves Game Thread April 28

Once of my pet peeves just happened with announcing crews...Hershiser just spent time talking how Hunter is leading the league in batting average...then less than 2 minutes later Schulman gives the stat to us in a voice that says this is the first time he's heard that info. Listen to one another.

Tigers hitting 1st inning,

Jackson flys to center,

Hunter strike call, ball low, swings and misses a changeup off the corner, curve drilled foul, swings and misses another change,

Cabrera fastball fouled back, fly to center,

minor with 11 pitches.

yeah sometimes they talk and talk too much for the sake of talking, or haven't done enough homework on the teams' players.

Fister pitching 2nd inning,

Johnson one hops to Infante,

gattis strike call, fouls one off his clown shoe, curve waves at it,

fuggla 2 and 1, drive pulled foul down left, fastball just off the corner, strikes out swinging on the curve,

Fister fisting with 5 strikeouts and 27 pitches.

Remember when Tigers traded for Doug Fister and he rarely threw a curveball? He's struck out 3 of last 4 hitters with it. 5 K's thru 2 inn.
Jason Beck

Sanchez might only hold that record for 2 days at this rate

Tigers hitting 2nd inning,

Fielder grounds back to the pitcher,

Martinez takes way inside, now a fastball high, fastball ground foul, strike call, grounder to third,

Peralta grounds to third,

minor with 22 pitches, Tigers had trouble with this kid in ST.

We're going down just as easily as the Braves are right now.

Damn Tooey put a charge in that, nice swings from this kid.

Atta boy Ajax!

Nice job Pena and Infante getting on base for him.

There we Go.......Homerun Austin Jackson!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tigers lead 3 - 0.

In span of 3 batters, Minor loses perfect game (Pena walk), no-hitter (Infante single) and shutout (likely longest homer of A-Jax's career). with Jackson's man-sized home run over the University of Toledo sign behind the visiting bullpen.
