Tigers vs. Cardinals August 25, 2021 Game 128 1:00 Start

Out hit a team 11 to 5 and you should be winning espically when you hit a million doubles.
What a odd loss.

Plus Tiger pitchers had 14 k?s to 2 bb.

Those 10th inning games, very stressed when your team doesn't score in the top of the inning.

I'm not a fan of the runner on second rule. It's probably a little more exciting but I would bet it gives the home team even more of an advantage.

I actually like the 7 inning DH (I didn't at first) though I think they take that away. This one not so much.

Tarik Skubal enters today's game with 134 strikeouts during his rookie campaign. He got 10 more Strikeouts today.

Per Elias Sports the single-season record for a Tigers rookie is 146, established by Spencer Turnbull in 2019.

Tarik Skubal has struck out 10 in today's game, recording his second career 10+ strikeout game (other, 11 strikeouts on 6/5/21 at CWS).

Skubal joins Alek Manoah and Triston McKenzie as the only MLB rookies to have multiple 10+ strikeouts games this season.

Skubal also has four-or-more strikeouts in 18 consecutive outings, the longest streak for a rookie in Tigers history.

Only one other Major League rookie has a longer streak this season: TB's Shane McClanahan with an active 19-game stretch.

Miguel Cabrera is slashing .290/.348/.462 since June 4, which ranks 2nd/3rd/3rd among Tigers hitters with at least 200 PA.

Over that span he's among the AL leaders in % of balls hit at 95+ MPH (5th, 55.4%) and average exit velocity (8th, 92.7 MPH).

Tale of 2 Skubals: K's 10, allows 2 HRs in loss.
