Tigers vs. guardians ALDS - Best of Five Games - October 5 to October 12

CLUBHOUSE, CAMARADERIE AND CLUES.
Totally Tigers

Once again, sometimes the most interesting details of playoff games don’t always happen on the field – or during the game. Sometimes they are byproducts that tell us more about what is going on and give us clues about the future. And sometimes, they reveal the true tests behind the effort and the emotions that go beyond the players.

Last week, I had a list of 20 observations based upon the Tigers clinching a playoff spot. Today, I’m continuing the list but focused on the playoff games themselves.
Let’s dig in……..

I don't see them getting past the Indians, but this run has been so great! This is my favorite observation in this blog.

8. Given everything Meadows has been doing for this team, aren’t you curious how the Tigers are going to handle adding Max Clark to the roster in the near future? The team spent years without a capable CFer and now it appears they could end up with 2 elite ones.

Greene, Carpenter, Meadows, and Clark are all left handed hitters too.

Clark is a long way out so things could be different by then. My guess is 3 years. But if all on the team Carpenter is the DH unless Tork flames out and they put him at first. Clark might be a better CF but I would see no reason to take Meadows out of CF. Regardless, Greene-Meadows-Clark would be a good OF defensively. What about Perez, is there another position he can play? But again, in 3 years so much can change.

If he's as good as they say he is, I hope he doesn't take 3 more years. The most recent MLB ranking estimates he will be up in 2026. Either way, it's a good problem to have.

Well he's only 19. Drafted last year. Even great players rarely come up before 22-23. Aaron Judge was 24. He was 25 when he won ROY.

Days of Roar Tigers Podcast: Bobby Scales joins to recap Detroit Tigers’ sweep against Houston and how the team should contend. 104 minutes.

With Evan away on his honeymoon, Mark brings in Tigers radio analyst and friend of the pod Bobby Scales to pinch-hit as co-host. To open the show, the guys recap the Tigers’ dominant performance against the Houston Astros.
Afterwards, Bobby helps break down what went wrong for the Tigers in game one of the ALDS and how the team can best bounce back against the Guardians’ standout bullpen.
The duo also talk the Monday’s Tarik Skubal vs. Matt Boyd pitching matchup, Jackson Jobe’s confidence and more. To close out the show and because he’s just too dedicated to his beat, Evan joins remotely for some additional analysis.
