Tigers vs. indians Game Thread Sept. 14

our old friend Inge underwent season-ending right shoulder labrum surgery; and had Dr. Stephen Lemos, the Tigers team orthopedist perform the operation.

Why not Al Al here up 4 in the 9th? he hasn't pitched in a bit, don't really care for this misuse.

Tigers shutout the indians 4 - 0,
Verlander wins his 14th,
Tigers Victory Cigar.

I still don't understand that...I know the run doesn't mean a thing but why not try and throw him out on the steal attempt? I hate that. Make a throw.

yadda yadda wins a win almost feels like a loss with how the offense went to sleep after the 2nd. Heck might have been if not for some great D from Miggy and the Prince!..anyway... Sox up 3-0 in the top 6th, Sale is at 82 pitches through 5 though so once Ventura starts his pen chain gang maybe minn can still get em for us

Since the all star break, Cleveland has only won 2 of 18 series...both were against us.

idk looked like Boesch hesitated and got a late jump,

oh well,

I thought so too the first time I watched it, and Dickerson said it too, but after watching the replay a few times looks like he was just making sure Donald did not get to the ball, but Gene was windmilling him home.

I was leaning towards blaming Boesch for bad baserunning, but now it's pretty clear to me it's Geno's fault again.

Nice win boys!!! Wish I could say the say for old Byron Center homecoming night. After holding Greenville on the first drive of the third quarter we ripped off a 70 yard td run to take a 14-0 lead and it was all down hill from there and we lost 24-14... at 1-3 BC is in big trouble...The kids play hard but are just to small and offensively challenged... Always next week... Go tigers..
