Tigers vs. indians Game Thread September 1

I'm not too sure we can win this one, but it would be nice to beat up on Perez a bit.

Truly we don't know if Perez actually does smell bad; maybe he only looks like he does...

Tiger Hitters Bases Loaded .263 BAVG .325 OBP .444 SLG .769 OPS

I would have taken two out of three going into this series all week long...added one game to the division lead...

Please try to score Omar so that this game isn't a total and complete humiliation

Out @ 3rd....figures

I would have too, but this loss feels like what our win against the As must have felt for them. We dominated them overall, but its a really terrible way to lose the sweep-clinching game in the last inning.

Can't complain about 2 of 3, but was just a shitty way to lose this combines with getting shutout.

and there it is. fuck you, dirks.

it takes a special kind of offensive ineptitude to manage to get shut out on 10 hits and 2 walks.

I took the day off from watching the tigers today, knew they were going to lose this one but dang 11 hits and you get shut out? that not easy to do! Lol

That SHO victory probably will become creepland's ALCD runner-up consolation prize for losing the series and the season series as well. This Tigers team however, sure knows how to lose ugly. despite the likelihood that they will clinch the division title by ~mid-September. This of course, barring a complete collapse, since even IF the Tigers are/were to finish 12-13, the tribbles would still need to go 21-5 for the rest of this season to win the division by a game.

Just FYI. Half the major league teams have a second baseman and/or first baseman that would have gotten to the foul pop that Aviles hit prior to his grand slam. A run may or may not have scored, but it would have been the second out.

It changes the bottom of the ninth. Rather than playing to score 4 runs, you play to score only one.
