Looking back now, being dragged to a graduation party and missing the game was probably a good thing.

Had a chance to win another series before going to TEX and TB to get rapped with a broken beer bottle and 1 run and 4 lousy hits are all we can manage.

Now someone tell me again how it's okay for guys like Cabrera and Fielder to be laughing and giggling after an embarrassing loss like this.

I am with you MI... Too much BS on this team and giggling... It bugs the crap out of me when they lose like this with crap effort..

I don't mind the laughing. It is a game. I don't believe it effects how they play. All teams are like this. How many time you see an opposing bat get a hit, getting blown out on a bad team and he yuks it up at first base. Are they suppose to be grumps 24-7?

Come on Mitch... This is the age old question about how a athlete should play the game...This team should be up by 5-10 games in this suck ass division. it really is unacceptable... None of the 1968, 1973 or 1984 Tigers would except this... Get a freaking 5-10 game lead them kid all you want... You and me just disagree.. And grumps and playing with a edge and wanting to win are a whole lot different.. Maybe giggling is the reason we are playing so freaking bad.. Oh well as long as we can laugh and collect our pay-checks..

The reason we are playing bad is because players like Boesch, Raburn, Young, Santiago, Worth, and Kelly have all been playing like AAA OFers.

That, and our defense is atrocious.

It has absolutely nothing to do with the players playing without an edge, or the players laughing and having fun.

When Berry had that walk-off, were they suppose to not celebrate because they're still in 3rd place?

Many of said when the season started, regardless of Prince and Miguel at 3 and 4, is that we had too many uncertainties.

Nice that AJ has started hitting, that Dirks and Berry have contributed. But DY and BB haven't had much going, Raburn has been pathetic and Jhonny P. and Avila aren't hitting like they did last year. Don't forget Inge, Kelly, etc.

Inconsistencies with our SP and injuries and that's how you have a team under .500. Its not because someone is laughing or having fun when something good happens.

Celebrate and have fun when you win...Mitch when did I ever say that was wrong to do? Not once.. But to look so damn happy when you lose is unacceptable... A pro athlete can only be so happy-go-lucky some many times until it grinds on the fans.. You don't think something is up with Miguel? Try looking a tad deeper into his stats.. it is fantastic that he is the tremendous hitter he is but his stats are down significantly from the last few years... Not thinking a team can have some grit and have fun is just plain dumb also Mitch.. One thing for sure whatever they are trying right now is not working hence the 34-37 record.. So I guess smiles are all around in the Tiger clubhouse, and blare the music louder.. Winning is much more fun then losing and some of the tigers should no better how to act... Especially on camera.

Maybe something is wrong but its not because he's smiling. Take the 119 loss season we had. Nothing went right but if that team went about being pissed off all year, it would have drove them nuts.

Music is another topic but its a game, millionaires should be able to smile too.

Yes, millionaires need to laugh too, but they should also be upset that Max pitched a pretty good game considering the circumstances, and we just lost another series to the Pirates when we were on somewhat of a hot streak, putting up a total of 1 run on 4 hits.

Unless we know these players personally, we really don't know how they cope with defeat, struggle, disappointment, etc.

I couldn't care less what they do in the dugout. All that matters to me is what they do out in the field.

Throwing the gatorade barrel around and pouting in the dugout isn't going to move them up in the standings.

The talent is a common misconception with this team. They have three top tier players, a few good players, and a lot of bad players.

And when did I say to throw things... i just said it is frustrating to see smiles and giggling when you are losing... I just want to see a tad more facial pissed-off-id-ness... That is all... I never said go nuclear war on a drinking fountain..

Lets not argue about this anymore... Maybe it is I would like to see more Pete rose or Kirk Gibson, Chaltion Fisk, Jack Morris, types in the team.. Even Bryce Harper is refreshing to so how mad he gets when he fails to deliver... Lets move on... We disagree but we all want them to play better...

I think there's a difference between laughing after a failed bat attempt then laughing after a HR in a losing ball game. I'm not sure I see anyone excited after they get out. Except Laird after JV drilled one...
