Reminder: Tonight's Tigers game is on FSD+ due to DetroitRedWings playoffs. FSD+ channels: http://atmlb.com/IaQHRI GoTigers GoWings.

Not sure if Brennan Boesch’s day at DH has anything to do with last night’s game, but Ryan Raburn is getting the start in right field.

DETROIT -- For the fifth time in the last six games, the Detroit Tigers will face a left-handed starting pitcher.
Tonight, it's Texas' Matt Harrison.
As a result, the Tigers' starting lineup Friday is heavy with right-handed hitters, including Brandon Inge, who will bat ninth and make his third start at second base in the second game of a four-game set against the Rangers.
Since the start of last season, Harrison's 2.84 road ERA is tied for third-best in the American League, but the Tigers have found recent success southpaws.
Of the six games Detroit has faced a left-handed starter, the club has gone 6-0.
Brennan Boesch, who was spotted walking gingerly to the dugout in the ninth inning of Thursday's 10-3 loss, has been assigned designated-hitting duties Friday with Ryan Raburn starting in right field.
Raburn, who is off to an early-season 3-for-37 slump, will bat sixth behind Delmon Young, who returns to left field after being tabbed the DH in back-to-back games.
Raburn, who received an off-day Thursday, is batting a career .667 with two home runs and two doubles against Harrison.
The 26-year-old Harrison has struggled in his five career starts against the Tigers with a 0-4 record and a 7.43 ERA. However, he's 2-0 this year and has a 0.64 ERA, which leads a Texas rotation that is 9-0 for the first time in club history.
The Tigers will counter with right-hander Rick Porcello, who opposed Harrison in Game 4 of last year's American League Championship Series. He's 1-0 with a 1.84 ERA and is coming off Sunday's one-run, five-hit showing in 7 2/3 innings against the Chicago White Sox.

"Raburn, who is off to an early-season 3-for-37 slump"

that's not a slump... that's Raburn.

Boesch said he turned his ankle, but that he's OK. He'll DH tonight, but said he could have played RF.

Detroit Tigers' Brennan Boesch makes precautionary start at DH after turning ankle.

Andy Dirks taking batting practice with Tigers right now 5:30. Doesn't mean he's ready to return, but it's a good sign.

I'll be watching this one from the bar tonight. Here's hoping it's a much better game than yesterday.

game doesn't look like it's going to start on time. Rain coming down, tarp is on the field, and no one's in the 'pen, warming up.

Does not look good for tonight...This is the rangers only visit to Detroit, so if a rainout, likely double header Saturday or Sunday.

i kinda doubt the game will start at all with all the rain weve had today.

Game rained out. Day-night doubleheader Saturday at 1:05 and 7:05
Tickets and parking passes for tonight will be good for tomorrow's night game, according to Tigers.

I think we caught a break here. Hopefully it'll get rescheduled for later in the season when we have Fister back.

Of course, a double header tomorrow is more likely.

Just read KC's post. So much for catching a break, but maybe a day off will cool the Rangers down.

after 25 minutes, they call it.. dunno if I ever saw it called that quick..

Oh well, wings it is..

Since I said this a couple nights ago, I would like to ask for 40% credit. Thanks.

My bad Mitch, if you said it, I missed it.

I thought of it when I looked at the GameDay page and saw the players pics in their defensive alignment, and saw Inge's cocky puss staring back at me.

No plagiarism intended.

I'm sure we weren't the only ones thinking of it. Honestly, Inge and KBurn have started worse than I thought, which I thought impossible.

Well the rain sure jacked up my weekend.

I have to be at the office today, so I had a Friday night off from my girlfriend, was just going to sit at home and take in the game and do nothing. Then at work today, I was going to bring in my laptop and see if I could find a stream to watch JV pitch, that left my Saturday night free for date night, we were meeting another couple. Now, date night falls right in the middle of JV Day and instead of watching Verlander pitch I'll probably be eating dinner at some way overpriced stuck up restaurant while listening to my girlfriend's friends talk about the petunia's they've planted this spring. Kill me now.
