To say Detroit Tigers right-hander Rick Porcello has struggled against the Texas Rangers would be quite the understatement.
In three career starts against the Rangers, Porcello has a 12.27 ERA , including his shortest outing over his last three years.
Porcello gave up nine runs over one-plus inning in a 10-4 loss in the opener of a doubleheader against Texas on April 21.
A day after hitting his first career home run, Quintin Berry will start in left for the second straight day, batting second behind Austin Jackson.
Brennan Boesch will bat sixth behind designated hitter Delmon Young and Ramon Santiago will start at second and bat eighth behind Jhonny Peralta.

Slumping Miguel Cabrera, Tigers face Rangers rookie.
Miguel Cabrera, who has just two hits in his last 20 at-bats, spanning five games, tries to break out of his slump Monday night against Rangers rookie Justin Grimm, who has made just one MLB start.
Grimm (1-0, 4.50 ERA) beat the Astros on June 16, giving up six hits and three earned runs over six innings. He will be opposed by Rick Porcello (4-5, 4.95).
Cabrera, who had been hitting .325 as recently as June 6, has two homers in his last 15 games. His average has fallen to .301, and he has 15 homers on the season.
