Tigers vs. rays Game Thread April 12

Maybe he can hit a few doubles or a HR for his birthday.

Good luck to Smyly in his MLB debut, and Happy Birthday BB.

Really hope we can get this win today. That tough loss yesterday, the Wings' loss, and some heavy drinking has left a really bad taste in my mouth. LOL.

Time for Boesch to break out of it and go 3 for 4 with a dinger and a few RBI's

Lol, I'll probably be in the same boat if things go poorly up to this weekend.

After the first strike, Smyly appeared to rush some pitches, broken bat bloop single, if he can get out the inning maybe he settles down...Get the feeling his pitch count brings him to 4th/5th as long as he doesn't give up much before.

Way to pitch around it Smyly.

Would be nice for the offense to jump out to an early lead and give the kid some breathing room.

Allrighty then LOL. Not exactly a formula for success but no runs score. Hopefully that gives him some confidence...

Those two strike outs were impressive right there. He found the strike zone and pitched his way out of that jam. Good stuff.

Way to go kid, talk about a tough situation and he got our of it with no damage, let's hope our bats come alive early and we take the pressure off from Smyly.

Smyly resorts to 4-seam fast balls to get out of the inning. He can't depend on that one pitch the entire game.

28-pitch opening inning for Smyly. No runs allowed after bases loaded, nobody out.

Wow do they think he cant go the opposite way. Thats pretty crazy.

posted, and from the detnews today is the rays lead all majors in those kinds of defensive shifts/alignments the past 2 years...indians 2nd.

Guess henning will now say how comfortable Cabrera looks at 3rd after that play.
