Expect the Tigers farm system ranking to take a bigly hit, given that Mize and Skubal will soon be off the prospect list, and certain prospects in their system are exposed for their failings, injuries, and weaknesses. Only their high picks in this year's draft may mitigate that somewhat.
But yeah...I don't have much if any faith in the Tigers player/pitcher development staff to be able to fix, teach, train, or improve upon their prospects' innate talents and abilities. And their scouting department definitely needs to be cleaned up and new blood brought in.

Looks like Michael Fulmer is the first Detroit Tigers pitcher to start a game one day and earn a save the next since Mickey Lolich, who did it on August 7th and 8th of 1966.
August 7th, 1966 Mickey Lolich started against Boston, went six innings.
The next day against Washington in 12 innings, he recorded the save.
