For tonights Tigers - rockies game;
With the designated hitter back for the Tigers for the next six games, keep an eye out on how many games Delmon Young starts at DH. Leyland said last Sunday that he would probably get him a couple games a week in left field, thinking the occasional time can help him at the plate.
With lefty Jeff Francis starting for Colorado, Ryan Raburn gets the start in left field, giving Jim Leyland the extra right-handed bat he wants. Raburn is 3-for-10 with a home run lifetime off Francis, but went just 1-for-7 off Francis last year when Francis was in Kansas City.
With Casey Crosby on the mound, Bryan Holaday gets his first start at catcher since last homestand.

Ryan Raburn starting in left field, Delmon Young at DH in Detroit Tigers' opener vs. Colorado Rockies.
Detroit Tigers manager Jim Leyland told reporters Thursday that recently recalled outfielder/infielder Ryan Raburn would have to earn his playing time this time around.
It appears he did enough in his first game back to earn a second straight start.
Raburn is batting seventh for the second consecutive game and starting in left field as the Detroit Tigers open a three-game series tonight against the Colorado Rockies at Comerica Park.
In his first game back since being optioned in late May, Raburn went 2-for-3 and contributed right away, with an RBI double in the second inning to give Detroit a 2-0 lead.
Danny Worth will start at second Friday and bat behind Raburn and Delmon Young, who has started in left field the past six games while playing in National League ballparks. Young has been tabbed tonight's DH and will bat fifth behind Prince Fielder.
Left-hander Casey Crosby will make his third career start and will face a Colorado lineup that does not include Troy Tulowitzki. The shortstop is eligible to come off the 15-day disabled list on Friday, but he reaggravated a groin injury during a rehab assignment Wednesday.
The Rockies will counter with Jeff Francis, who gave up eight runs and 10 hits in 3 1/3 innings of an 11-5 loss Saturday.
