Though the chances of this game getting rained out are slim, rain is a possibility in the later innings. There's right around a 25 percent chance of rain at 9 p.m.
Victor Martinez has two home runs in 15 plate appearances against hard-throwing Royals righty Yordano Ventura. He's the only Tiger who has taken Ventura deep.
Omar Infante (7-for-20, 3 2B) and Eric Hosmer (8-for-26, 1 HR, 2 2B) enter Tuesday as the hottest hitters on the Royals. The left-handed hitting Hosmer posted a very strong .378 wOBA in 401 plate appearances against right-handers last season, which is something to think about tonight against Tigers righty Shane Greene.
