Tigers vs. Royals May 23, 2021 Game 46

Fulmer delivered a pitch that was in a hot spot of Santana's heat map, unfortunately.

Castro is the bigger disappointment to me. Even despite the defensive issues he is not doing well at all at the plate.

Paredes is also struggling in Toledo. Detroit is just not developing offense whatsoever.

The infield is a great big ? after Candy going forward.

Their middle IF doesn't look replaceable w/o going outside the organization via trade(s) and the Tigers don't have anyone who might be desirable who they can afford to part with. Grossman might be the most tradable of position players, even though he is signed for next year as well, and his leadoff OBP is crucial on a team with so many free swingers.

If they want to limit IP by Mize and Skubal, then Fulmer might have to rejoin their roto, if Manning or Tehran isn't/aren't ready as yet or don't perform well enough for an early call-up. If Boyd is traded, then that creates another hole that they might not be able to fill w/o pitching their rookies all season.
