Tigers vs. Twins April 7, 2021 Game 6

Sadly a good battle but He just doesn?t have much left in the tank. . Hopefully he can get 3000 hits.

Nice 2 innings by Cisnero.

Just need a bloop and a blast boys !

I get why miggy is still on this team, but after this year when hopefully he reaches his milestones its time to just pay him and move on. He's just an anchor on this team

Out hit them 8 to 7 and they even committed a error. But base running gaffes initiated by the third base coach and manager wanting to be Aggressive cost the Tigers today. Tigers waste a quality start.

nice start by Boyd.

the question is this...if he has a start that is similar to his in 2019, do the Tigers trade him?

Final line for Matthew Boyd: 7 IP, 7 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 0 BB, 8 K.

96 pitches, 77 strikes (13).

Really good start and so close to a great start.

Also worth noting that Boyd has faced 55 batters so far in 2021 and allowed zero home runs.

Last year he allowed one every 18 plate appearances and led the league in home runs allowed.

Akil Baddoo becomes just the 4th Tigers player in modern history to have a hit and an RBI in each of his 1st 4 career games. The other three include:
Dale Alexander (1929)
Don Ross (1938)
Ron Cash (1973)

He is just one of just 19 players since 1901 to accomplish this feat.

Akil Baddoo is rewriting the history books (& history tweets) one day at a time:

Twins 3 - Tigers 2: The Tigers had their chances.
Unfortunate to waste a good performance from the pitching staff.

I would have liked to see Baddoo up with the bases loaded but Miggy thought he was Rickie Henderson. Wasn't even close.
