And on a side note, it is very bizarre that we do not play the White Sox until July 9th??? How can you go over 3 months before you play a team in your division for the first time?

I didn't like Smyly throwing so many pitches, but I didn't have a problem with the lineup or using Martinez at 1B. No better opponent to use that lineup/defense against. Now if it were a good team, I'd probably not be happy, but we probably just started another 5+ losing streak for the Twins. They're worse then the Astros IMHO.

drew w/ a double triple and now a single

gomes to third,

iglesias walks bases loaded,

francona nearly swallowed the 50 pieces of gum he's chewing,

perez is hurt, they take him out,

ellsbury gets a game winning hit,
