Tigers vs. whitesox Game Thread July 22

Crazy things have happened before, but assuming the Tigers hold on and win this game, they will have gone 6-1 vs the Angels and White Sox. That is excellent...especially considering our top 2 pitchers weren't on the mound this series.

ya ricky > turner was a but scary this series....shows what i know lol

Graphic showing Verlander's first 5 career starts. 1 win 4 losses, 28 IP, 29 hits, 6.11 era, opp avg .261.

gotta say turner looking solid. starting to get more ground ball out and continuing with a lot of swings n misses.

Was not expecting this out of Turner...been pleasantly surprised.

if only ozzie was still the manager. hed be having a shitfit postgame. "we cant hit jacob turner?!"

I'm starting to get the same excitement back as I had after sweeping the Redsox to start the season. We're beating up on some of the better ball clubs in the AL the last couple weeks.

Assuming we hold on today, we're 8-2 to start the 2nd half against 3 2nd place teams in Baltimore, LA, and Chisox.

Might be all for Turner with the the big guys coming up in the 6th.

Not a bad job for a guy who is not a major leaguer.
