Tigers vs. whitesox Game Thread September 14

now, hopefully cleveland steps up and helps us out with texas. They're out of it anyway, they might as well help the division winner with playoff seeding.

thats what ive been hoping for. im cheering for everyone playing the yanks and rangers, i want top seed!

we could actually catch the yankees. they've got some tough games coming up. 3 with boston, 6 with tampa bay (both are trying to get wild card or even the division)

Holy crap who would have thought...

I predicted 94 or 95 wins...and that we would dominate the central...it's just I did not think it would happen all at once! Where's that damned ESPN prediction thread to prove me right!

I believe you...No worries.... Just keep rolling...

And Penny gets off the hook again.... Hitters are really bailing him out..

Jim just said in the post game that he and AL Albuquerque don't understand each other...LOL...Just a language barrier..... He had to bring Miguel and Carlos in to talk to him about his hip...

Remember when a lot of us were thinking get to 87/88 wins to just scrape by in the division? Now the talk is all about catching the Yanks for tops in the AL. :) What an amazing run this has been.

I got home from work and flipped on the tv in time for the 9th. I was doing some little things around the house and Mudhen hit the homer. Then I changed to get ready to go workout. Maggs walks and Avila is now at bat. I'm standing there saying why are you watching this...this can't happen again...they can't win every single game. But I decide to wait to leave the house and watch AA's at bat...he crushes it. I'm by myself shaking my head saying "are you fucking kidding me" over and over at the tv. There was a crowd of people at the gym watching Valverde shut them down in the 10th. This team is ridiculous right now.

it's very possible. we've got four in oakland starting tomorrow. I see no reason that we shouldn't at least split that series with both fister and verlander pitching, then we have two in KC, four at home against baltimore and three more at home against Cleveland. The yanks have a tough way to go from here on out.

I was at school and couldn't watch the game. Normally I don't watch replays when I miss the game, but I gotta see this one...

Just getting back. I almost pinched myself but I don't want to wake up from this.

Here's some perspective. My Grandma was 18 the last time the Tigers won 12 in a row. She's 95.

I just watched the last two innings with the WS announcers and they sounded bummed. Especially "you gone". Lol.
