Tim announcing at 3pm

Actually, i think Irvin will start the 2. Stauskas the 3. Gr3 stays at 4.

I still think a lot of it depends on Donnal. If he's ready to play he has the skill set that Beilein would be comfortable with at the 4. That would give Robinson the opportunity to slide out to the wing for a good 20 minutes or so.

Could Donnel start at the 4 next season if he comes in strong? At 6'9 and a guy who can make the mid range shot he could be key to next season! This would move GR3 to the 3 and allow Nik to come off the bench. I like the idea of this. But, ofcourse this only matter if GR3 and McGary come back! (Irvin would be the 2 I would assume)

Could this help us keep GR3? What if Beilein tells him that he will play him more at the 2 or the 3 if he comes back.

I highly doubt Hardaway staying or going has any bearing on what the other 2 will do, just my opinion. I agree that he was inconsistent but to think that Tim leaving can do anything but hurt us is stupid. His senior leadership alone would be invaluable to the team next year not to mention he developed himself into one of our best defenders. Can one of the new guys be a better offensive weapon, maybe but then you have to point to lack of depth on the roster. Either way we will be ok next year but I was hoping Tim stays for his senior season.

He sure could have used the last year of eligibility to refine his game some more, not a smart move in my opinion.

I will always love Michigan but I still hate the state of basketball.

would love to see him stay. not sure i agree with him leaving. if the other 2 stay we should still be ok with the class coming in. however if either of the other 2 leave i think we are in serious trouble.

Completely agree. He could've gotten his degree, improved his game, and had a chance for an outright Big Ten title. The only positive about him leaving this year is that next year's draft class is supposed to be much, much better, so he might've ended up in the same situation (2nd round pick).

If McGary and GR3 come back, I like our chances to be a great team again, depending on how quickly Derrick Walton can run the offense. If both leave, we'll be in huge trouble, as others on this board have already mentioned.

I guess that's the great thing about spike getting some playing time during the season, he can run the point until Walton gets his feet wet.

btw he announced that he's going into the draft

of course, this isn't news, as that guy last week said this was going to happen, so I guess he's a freakin' genius.

I gotta think that the fact that next year is supposed to be a deeper class had something to do with his decision to leave this year because I think e erroneous agrees that he would have benefited from another year. Oh we'll, good luck Tim.

guys, I updated my thread to reflect the fact that he's leaving. didn't add a post to bump it though.

Well one thing is for sure -- this is a very well informed decision. With Tim Sr at Miami and all the NBA connections, no way this is an impetuous choice.
