Titus Young is back baby..

I hope he gets his shit together and stays healthy mentally. I've seen bipolar disorder up close, if that's what he truly has, I feel for him.

Yes, I've seen it up close as well. Hopefully he gets the right help.

In a separate article I saw this..

“Thank God I have it all under control now,” Young wrote in the diary. “So when I make this comeback to the league, Rodger Godell and the rest will understand that athletes are not exempt in mental illness. We have to live with these differences for the rest of our life.”

Hopefully he doesn't rush.

He'll never play in the NFL again.

A guy killed a women and played. Guys beat up women and played.. NFL is messed up.

but those guys were good and weren't out of the NFL for over 6 years. This guy wasn't good before he went to prison.

Who says you have to be good? Dont? Stallworth certainly doesn't fit that bill at least not the year prior to his suspensions. And afterword. Not enough to say "oh yeah" we need Stallworth.

ok...let's change that to proven to be a productive player ;)

Maybe I should have emphasized the 6+ years off!

Stallworth would never have done any prison time had he not been "hungover drunk" (only served 30 days). The guy in the street was actually at fault, but because Stallworth still had a BAC over the limit, he got charged with vehicular manslaughter.

That's the big problem drinking drunk kill someone should have had a severe penalty. It shouldn't be an excuse (Sorry I was drunk didn't know what I was going). Smoke weed and get the same year off as killing someone..

The point I was making is if he wasn't drunk when he hit and killed that guy, he wouldn't have even got a ticket. The guy walked out into a BLVD right into his path.

As far as the weed thing, players don't get fined or miss time for their first offense.

Right now, you have to get popped 8 times before you miss a year. If you get popped 8 times, you have a serious problem.

As bad as Vehicular Homicide?

As an NFL player....an above average or good one.....you have an 8-10 year window to make your money on the field. If you don?t have the brains to lay off weed for that long so you can smoke AS MUCH AS YOU WANT the rest of your life.....then you don?t deserve the money.

I don?t feel bad that they can?t do something as inconsequential as smoke weed while they play. I don?t.

as we post about this subject, Josh Gordon is "stepping away" from football for mental health issues. It is being reported that he failed another drug test.

there is only one player that isn't playing that was a "kneeler", and he had a job offer but turned it down.

Can I amend my criteria to also include socks with pigs on them?

Also, who offered him a job? I must've missed that at some point. I remember Elway tried trading for him but Kaep wouldn't take a pay cut. That also happened before the flag/kneeling bullshit I believe.

I guess you are right...it was before he kneeled.

But that doesn't change the fact that he is the only one without a job...so kneeling doesn't keep you from getting a job. Maybe it is the pig socks or Castro shirt

I thought the Ravens offered him a contract a couple yrs back but he didn't want to be Flacco's backup. Don't quote me on it but I thought it happened...

I agree. 6 yrs is a lifetime. Sad too because the kid had game. Proved it as a rookie. He would have been a solid #2 in Detroit but he was crazy. Fighting players (Delmas) and thought he was better than CJ. His sickness took over. Hopefully he gets his mind right...
