It's getting more & more likely.. his name's coming up more often - @JericGriffin on @CoachGrahamASU jetting @FootballASU for @umichfootball

He looks like a douche. What's with the crew cut? Michigan better not hire spanky from little rascals.

I'm starting to think whoever they bring in is going to be a disappointment to most

Who the hell is he?

I hate waiting.

Nevermind. No, he cannot be our next coach.

Why do I get the feeling I'm going to be very disappointed when they finally name the next coach?

Michigan please don't lower your standards you are better than this. Anything other than the big 3 is a disaster. We will be the laughing stock of college football if we get this guy or asshole Schianno, Pitt coach etc.

I'm the exact opposite. Granted, I'd love for a Harbaugh to be coaching Michigan next year. But if it's Miles, Schiano, Jones (though he apparently signed a new deal with Tennessee), Bob Stoops, Mark Stoops, Martin, Mullen, Malzahn, Shaw, Graham, Pinkel, Mora, shit, even PJ Fleck, I'm confident that they are better head football coaches than Brady Hoke, so UM is moving in the right direction.

Now, there are some names I actually do consider a downgrade from Hoke. Paul Chryst and Steve Addazio top that list. Shaw maybe too...don't know enough about him, didn't watch Stanford much the last couple years.

Michigan does not "NEED" to get Jim or John Harbaugh. They'd be nice, but aren't necessary.

There are other good coaches. Just hope Michigan does its due diligence and finds the right one. Hoke was only selected on being a "Michigan man" that was the issue.

And I know I'm in the minority, but from a football perspective, I'd be happy with Greg Schiano at Michigan. He's not in my top tier, but I have him in that second tier of guys.

Edit: This is a guy who was successful enough at Rutgers, RUTGERS to use it as a springboard into the NFL. And don't give me this, "he failed in the NFL so he can't coach at UM" bullshit. Steve Spurrier failed in the NFL. Lou Holtz failed in the NFL. Once upon a time Pete Carroll failed in the NFL. I don't care if people find him to be an asshole. Jim Harbaugh by most accounts is an asshole. Brady Hoke was not an asshole.

Sums up my position well. Edit: and he actually left rutgers in a good position to stay relevant. Unlike Hoke's old teams

Very true. The Rutgers program he built just joined the B1G, and beat Michigan.

Again, he's not my top choice, but I don't get the vitriol and hatred of him, his candidacy, and the potential hiring of him.

If he gets the job and it comes out that no contact was made with any of the top tier guys we have on our lists (like the '11 search seems to have gone down) then no one would have a beef with the criticism of the job search. But let's face it, all of the top tier guys we have in our minds have reasonable arguments for not coming.

Schiano. Can he really coach talent. ? Hoke couldn't not sure schiano can either

Record he left at Rutgers misleading.
Year after he left they were 9-4 but beat only 2 teams with winning record

My old man went to Pitt, so watched them & Big East football growing up when UM wasn't on TV, plus kid from the neighborhood I lived in for a bit (who eventually played for the Lions) went to RU and played QB, and my memories of Rutgers football are of a HORRID and embarrassingly bad football team.

Until Greg Schiano arrived. His career win/loss record at RU is 68-67, and I agree that it's misleading, but I think so in the other direction.

First 4 years: 12-34
Last 7 years: 56-33

In the Big East

First 4 years: 3-24
Last 7 years: 25-24

Again, not at the top of my list, but I'm not seeing/agreeing with the passionate dislike for him.

Its just not a exciting choice... Does nothing really to get the fan base united...

No one will go to the games if schiano is the coach. Worse than what it was with hoke losing.

Ridiculous.

People will go if Michigan wins.

Whether it's Graham, Schiano, Mora, or Harbaugh, people will go if the on-field product makes them want to go.

And if Michigan loses with Graham, Schiano, Mora, or Harbaugh, they'll continue to have to "lie" to keep the 100,000 streak going.

I can't believe what happened in 2014 happened, that at no time was a ranked team on the field at Michigan Stadium (Minnesota and Utah were not ranked when they played at Michigan).

Considering the Big East...That does not impress me. I know RR had WV in good shape, but really not impressive.

Never won the Big East title and reported on another board he never Beat RR. How the hell is he going to magically win at UM? If its Schiano we might as well kept Hoke. At least people liked him.

You'll see. If they come out there with a jackass coach and lose the first game people will not waste their time with the bullshit that goes on there no point in wasting the money if they don't wanna win.
