What order guys?

Round 1: Defensive tackle

Round 2: Offensive line

Round 3: Secondary

Whether you think Stafford is the future or that Stafford is shit and needs to be replaced, the QB has to be protected.

OL hard and heavy. Fuck BPA, you need to make one or two picks stick on the OL.

Rd 1 - LT

Rd 2 - CB

Rd 3 - DE or MLB

All impact players that will contribute immediately

What's the chance we get 3 players who could contribute right away, let alone impact? I'm pretty sure it's a 1/2 %.

Depends on free agency.

But with a top 5 pick, OT makes the most sense.

Laken and Swanson just need to develop. Warford stay healthy. Reiff who the hell knows, he's under the 5th year option. Not a good season for him.

Need a vet center. They have one in Man Ram but are living and dying, mostly dying with Swanson.

They need to get the #1 pick, trade back but inside the top 10 and add some picks. Oh...and have someone else in charge when making the picks!

FA is not the answer. They need to start adding good players through the draft or they will continue to suck.

If they get the #1 pick overall, they're staying there. Nobody is worth trading up for to get them. Who's the projected #1 overall? A DT?? Lol. Of course!! Is there a stud LT, a can't miss LT available at 1?? I don't think so. A QB? Hell no!! We're stuck again and if they reach at #1 for a Cook or "good" LT then they'll be in the same fkn boat they're always in..lol. We can never catch a break...ever.

Every year some QBs impress at the combine. There are some teams that are desperate for a QB. IF the Lions fall into that #1 overall pick we have to pray that a few other desperate teams fall in love with a QB. Bears, Browns and KC come to mind.

That said...you are right...it won't happen for the Lions!

And every year, teams that don't even need a QB will draft one. NE's still probably got another 3, 4 years from Brady and they still used a 2nd rounder on Jimmy G.

It's time to take one, and take one somewhat early. Don't use a 6th rounder. 2nd, 3rd round. The 2nd round picks don't pan out anyways, so what's the difference?

Drafting a QB doesn't make you a good franchise. Brady was a 6th rd pick who probably never would have had the success he did if Bledsoe never got hurt. And Jimmy G will never see the field either barring a Brady injury or trade of some sort. Pats were lucky to land Brady and Brady is in a system that fits him to a fkn tee.
With saying that, I do agree that the Lions need to go QB early because Stafford is potentially around next year as well before another big contract.

Given the players at the top, I would go OT or CB first. Tackle doesn't solve our train wreck of a center, but at least it gets our current RT (either one) off the field. CB is a huge need thanks to Mayhew continuing to kick the Mathis can down the road. Hargreaves looks awesome, and would start from day one.

Second round I'd go center, no matter who we picked first. Swanson is turning out almost exactly as expected. He's small, he's weak, he's unathletic, and he's proving that intangibles don't mean much in tangible game (the one thing he was supposed to be good at was reading a defense, obviously not).

Third round, take a safety and get rid of Ihedigbo.

I really like Cook, but I don't think we can afford to take him so high. I'd rather just let Stafford get beat up for another year and hope a real franchise QB emerges in 2017.

I saw a mock have the Lions taking Joey Bosa. Please, anyone but him.

Im having a hard time deciding if our:

a) oline personnel sucks
b) our scheme sucks
c) The person calling protections sucks

Its hard for me to believe that just out of the blue Reiff and Warford amongst others can look as bad as they did. You had Reiff literally running away from his guy to set up in some time of roll out play as Stafford is dropping straight back???!!!!???? Is that really on Reiff being shitty or is that the reason Washburn is fired today? Or is Stafford dumb?

If were in the top 10 I think our best bet is getting a surefire LT and sliding Reiff to RT. Then replace Samsonite in rd 2 or 3.

It sucks that we have this much talent and were going to be forced to pass on guys like Treadwell and Nkemdiche because our oline cant get their shit together.
