Per Mel Kiper:
1) Manti Te'o LB
2) Eddie Lacy RB
3) Geno Smith QB
4) Matt Barkley QB
5) Jonathan Cyprien S
6) Zach Ertz TE
7) Montee Ball RB
8) Kevin Minter LB
9) John Jenkins DT
10) Menelik Watson OT

Certainly those top 10 are debatable, but who all are realistic and ideal options in Round 2. We can pretty easily ignore the QBs, RBs, and DT. OT is the biggest need, but I don't want to reach either. Te'o, if still on the board, might be my pick. We still need a replacement for Durant. He looks like a first rounder on tape, and would have a strong line in front of him to occupy blockers. Falling due to 40 time (which is generally overrated) and non-football issues (girlfriend scandal, not drugs or character issues).

After Te'o, I think I prefer Ertz. We keep talking about need a slot reciever, but why reach for a WR when we could get a big, sure-handed guy like Ertz. He spent a lot of time lining up outside the box already, and is a solid route-runner. He can play in all situations, and could limit the snaps required by our injury-prone WRs.

Calling it now... Mayhew makes our first three picks Ansah, T'eo, Honey Badger and fans flip the F out.

ewww Te'o ? I hope not, let the Bears have him... He can room with Long, perfect combo to keep Long on a straight path

Honey Badger is the CB from LSU? I would love if that happened. Teo isn't a bad pick, but I like damontre moore too.

None of them are "bad" players, but all are big risks in different ways. Ansah has next to no real football experience, T'eo has a little history with lying, and the Honey Badger likes to get high. It'd make for the perfect Lions boom or bust draft and all could bust and we'll be back to another high first rounder next year.

Arthur brown

like him damontre moore or justin hunter. Cossel says jonathon banks is the top cb remaining although he likes jamar taylor too. I probably hold off on arthur brown and hope for khaseem green in rd 3. Fill a more important hole in rd 2.

I think Hunter fills the biggest need. Like it or not, this team is desperate for a #2 WR.
