No link yet, all the big guys are reporting it on Twitter.

Really surprised and happy to see the aggressive path for all 3.

It makes sense since AAA play until October, AA ends much earlier. So to get an extra 3+ weeks. More games, nice.

Maybe since Erie is 49-40 and 6.5 games out they wanted the two to help out Toledo who is in a battle for the top spot in their division. Not sure how many teams make the playoffs in ether leagues . Triple A East is a close race.

Omaha Storm Chasers?.49-38
Toledo Mudhens?????.49-39
St. Paul Saints?????.?47-41
Indianapolis??????.?.43-45

Not sure they care about the Mud Hens playoff chances. I do know that they have some different COVID protocols in MILB. I am pretty sure that players can not be called up to a major league team from AA due to different testing but they can be called up from AAA due to them having the same protocols as major league baseball.

I'm going to the Mud Hens game tomorrow...looking forward to seeing both of them.

They're not being called up to Major Leagues anyway this season. I suspect a chance to get at bats during playoffs was in their thought process though. Even at AAA its a different animal playing playoff baseball.

Next year the only "guarantee" I see of being promoted at the start of the year is Tork. Greene isn't 21 yet and for service time I bet they wait. Kreidler is at least another year away imo, even though he's the oldest. Unless he's an above average SS and I have no idea if he plays a good SS and he cuts his k's down. 119 in 88 games at Erie way too much.

Unrelated but think about some International guys we signed recently I came accross this..

?I feel lucky enough to be able to see Miguel Cabrera when he was 15, when he was 16 years old,? said Miguel Garc?a, the Tigers director of Latin American operations. ?Roberto Campos, to me, is the closest thing that I ever have seen to me like Cabrera when he was that age.?

We can hope.

if they are going to wait for service time purposes with Greene, why wouldn't they do it with Tork? Also, Greene has more experience in professional baseball than Tork.

They could but Tork is older..And it was just a guess anyway. Not sure what they plan on doing with either. And I would even say wait on Tork being his 1st year of pro ball since he didn't play in 2020 but they seem to be fast tracking him.

IMO, if a player is ready to contribute at the MLB level, start the clock.

They missed a year last season so for Tork he hasn't played much. SS isn't ready at all. And with Green, regardless or not GM and owners go by a different book.
