Get StartedOn the surface it's a great story. But...
Sounds like he's already having major issues adjusting to this. It will only get worse if he becomes a good pitcher. I wouldn't be surprised if he had to retire soon to stay true to himself. And if he conforms then he'll be labeled a sell out or someone that changed once they got money...and clearly that will bother him. That "livin' in a van down by the river routine" is going to get old for his teammates as well. They will constantly have to answer questions about it.
by all accounts he lived a pretty normal life when traveling with the team. This is what he does in the off season and during spring training.
