tosu and florida in gator bowl and northwestern &

I usually pull for most of the Big Ten, with the exception of ohio.

But this year is different. I really hope they beat Florida; we need a strong showing in the Bowls to generate a little hype for next year's rankings.

Would be nice to see Fickel get a little respect back. a lot of ohio fans were way too hard on the guy.

Too bad that this match was not contrived or anything like that. Mabye Tre$$el* and Urban Lier can temporarily assume their former positions as head coaches.

I agree. With all the Urban Meyer/Bob Stoops/Bo Pelini rumors swirling around all season long it felt like people were hoping Fick would fail so we would get a more established coach.

I think a fully manned Ohio team beats the pants off of Florida. This will lead to them claiming some sort of superiority, because they played with a handicapped team all year. Too bad the 3 players that were suspended aren't coming back next year.

Fickell knew what he was getting into and did it anyway. I don't feel sorry for that Buckeye at all.

I don't blame him that much. His school asked him to step up and take over in the interim, and he just did what any loyal alumnus & employee would do. He didn't create the mess though, tressel did.

even if he was aware or had some idea of what was going on, I don't get the sense he's as sleazy as Tressel & the rest of them. For that reason, I feel kinda bad that some of the media & fans down there (and I'm sure some of the older coaches on staff) have been that hard on him. he didn't deserve it.
