Might as well keep a running tab from around the league.

HOUSTON -- Texans running back Arian Foster likely will need surgery for a groin injury he suffered during the team's first fully padded training camp practice, a source said.

Foster likely will miss the start of the regular season. He could be placed on short-term injured reserve, which would allow the Texans to bring him back to practices after Week 6 and into a game after Week 8.

Foster suffered the injury on a pass play Monday night and did not return to the field.

Foster ranked sixth in the NFL last season with 1,246 rushing yards despite missing three games entirely due to injuries and parts of three others due to injuries.

Steelers kicker Shaun Suisham suffered a torn ACL in Sunday's preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings, according to multiple reports.

Suisham will undergo surgery on his left knee this week and is likely to be placed on injured reserve, ending his season, according to the reports.

Suisham, the only kicker on the Steelers' 90-man roster, suffered the injury while attempting to make a tackle on the opening kickoff of the second half.

Suisham made 90.6 percent (29 of 32) of his field goal attempts last season, tied for fifth-best in the NFL. The 11-year veteran is an 84.1 percent kicker for his career.

Thank you, Cheeno. Thank you, manchild.

Now the biggest question, should I get the football package this year? It's so expensive.. I almost didn't get it last season but I caved.. Any really good streaming sites anyone know of?

Yes but it's got pop ups galore. As a seasoned vet I can get around them with Adblock and deleting webpage code but you may not want the hassle and potential for adware. I feel ya, Mitch it is way too expensive.

The good thing is they are on national tv quite a bit this year. Last year I didn't get the package so the wife and I went to the bar about 12 or 13 sundays instead....which means we spent about $1200. I do like going to the bar to watch the games. It's fun. But it's definitely more expensive.

That sucks. I always wonder if they release a guy that was a 2nd round pick who started.. And I wonder if we have a 6th round guy who could do that to our guy.

Quarterback Geno Smith will be sidelined at least six to 10 weeks with two fractures in his jaw, the result of a locker room altercation Tuesday with reserve linebacker IK Enemkpali.

Enemkpali, a sixth-round pick in 2014, was released immediately by the team, with Bowles saying it's up to Smith if he wants to formally press charges. The coach also said he spoke to the team and then made the decision to let go of Enemkpali.

"It was nothing to do with football. ... It was very childish," coach Todd Bowles said. "He got cold-cocked ... sucker-punched, whatever you want to call it, in the jaw. He's got a broken jaw, a fractured jaw."

"The team knows it. It's something we don't tolerate, something we can't stand," Bowles said. "You don't walk up to a man and punch him in the face."

Bowles said he was also upset with Smith regarding the incident with Enemkpali because "it takes two to tango."

Smith, who was the presumptive opening day starter, will have surgery, according to Bowles. There's no guarantee that Smith will regain the starting job when his recovery ends, Bowles said.

A clearly annoyed Bowles said Enemkpali punched Smith over a trivial matter.

"It was something very childish, something sixth-graders could've talked about," Bowles said. "It had no reason to happen. If they want to tell you what happened, they can tell you what happened. I told them I wouldn't say anything about it."

Asked whether there were any festering issues between the two players, Bowles said, "Not to my knowledge. Obviously it was a sudden thing."

This is not Enemkpali's first brush with off-the-field violence. At 19, while at a bar when he was at college at Louisiana Tech, a fight broke out and he punched an off-duty cop who was working security at the bar. On that night, Enemkpali had to be subdued first with pepper spray and then with a stun gun.

He was arrested and charged with battery on a police officer and disturbing the peace/drunk, according to court records. The charge was amended to simple battery, and he received a suspended jail sentence and was placed on 13 months' probation. He also was ordered to perform 32 hours of community service and to complete an anger-management course.

It was over $600.

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- The altercation in the New York Jets locker room that ended with quarterback Geno Smith suffering a broken jaw began as a dispute over $600, sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

Smith, who will miss at least six to 10 weeks with two fractures in his jaw, accepted a $600 plane ticket from IK Enemkpali to appear at the reserve linebacker's football camp in Pflugerville, Texas, according to sources. Problems arose when Smith did not show to the camp, which took place days after someone close to Smith died in a motorcycle accident in Miami, sources said.

After Smith did not attend, Enemkpali demanded that the Jets quarterback refund him the $600 he allegedly used to purchase the plane ticket. Smith told Enemkpali he would reimburse him the money, but he had not as of Tuesday morning. Enkempali confronted Smith on Tuesday about the money, and the confrontation ended in a punch and a broken jaw.
