Trump to Announce Temporary Shutdown End

That?s a point but I was referring to the specifical title.

All friends episodes are titled ?the one where...?

Or ?the one when...?

Or ?the one with??

And so forth.

Friends episodes

I did not realize that. Each one could be subtitled "Also, the one where ross and chandler are two little bitches."

I never liked that show but saw a lot of it in the 90s because of roommates and/or girlfriends. It's probably the reason why I've seen less than half of Seinfeld episodes - I'd get sick of watching Friends and go do something else and miss Seinfeld.

I never said anything remotely like the way you characterized my point in this thread. I also said nothing about Trump having to wait to force a shutdown.

You clearly, intentionally misrepresented what I said and then tried to score a zinger off of it - that's a strwaman argument if ever there was one.

Of course it seems very odd that you would point this out considering you're the guy who recites the "two parties who agree on everything except abortion" line ad nauseum. Shouldn't you of all people be aware that establishment Rs and establishment Ds don't want the wall. How do you expect him to get something through congress that those so many in his own party were against it?

point: neither party wants "a wall" because it's stupid idea and everyone knows it, but Trump campaigned on it, so...

Trump should just tell his idiot base that the "wall" is done and that Mexico paid for it and then shoot some PC in a closed set.

Then they can go back to focusing on what really matters - Hillary Clinton's emails.

this is the best idea.

his base has demonstrated CONSISTENTLY, that they believe every word that comes out of his mouth, even if it's directly contradicted by his actions or even what he said 5 minutes before.

anyone deluded enough to believe in secret, government pizza parlor pedophile rings could be fooled by a decent hand sketch of a big, pretty wall.

People are saying you can see the wall from space.

That?s brilliant.

The best way to distract from one lie is to introduce a different and more obvious lie.

I can?t find the clip. In the classic movie Victor Victoria the Robert Preston character and the Julie Andrews character connived a ruse that female impersonator Victor was royalty, to distract from the fact that Victor was actually a woman.

So use the lie that the whole space program is actually a real thing to distract from the fact that the wall actually isn?t.

so...why are you surprised Trump wasn't able to deliver it in his first 2 years?

and the reason they don't want it isn't because it's a stupid idea, they don't want it because they want cheap labor and votes and they don't care about the people they (and you) pretend to care about. Even your hero, loon bag moron Bernie Sanders used to be a border hawk, but now that he's been whipped into shape by his Dem overlords, he's gone soft on immigration too.

So you think the wall - huge wall across our entire border, in addition to the walls already there - isn't a stupid idea?

I'm not, I was pointing out what a farce this whole shutdown is/was over his stupid wall, and how absurd it is to frame it as a partisan political fight when if it was really something anyone in the GOP wanted, they could've easily voted to fund it in '17 or '18.

You're the one trying to twist this into an attack on your mancrush Donald Trump

I think a wall on certain parts of the border are an important part of an effective border security strategy. That's what the pro-wall people believe by and large.

This is why nothing gets done - the anti-wall border denialists like you make shit up and then say what's actually their idea (a wall everywhere) is a dumb idea. The focus then becomes a wall everywhere so they can justify not securing the border at all. The idea that we can't put a wall everywhere means we should build a wall nowhere is simply moronic, but that's the argument you're making - because you're a moron.

The amount of wall we're talking about for this round of funding is something like 250 miles so please, STFU about a wall everywhere. You know it's a lie. Just be honest, for once.

That's a new one. What are people denying? Everyone agrees there's a border and it has a wall on some of it. Denying that we need more wall maybe?

No, I've been found out: I deny there is a border, and I just hate walls. All walls.

is this a real question? I know it's probably just another pedantic nit pick to distract from and avoid addressing the facts but just in case... that illegal boarder crossings are a big problem for starters, that a wall is an important piece of the overall strategy to address it would be another, the idea that visa overstays are a bigger problem than illegal border crossings, etc, etc.

It is not a real question. It is rhetorical. It means 'I see what you did there' with regard to the conflation by terminology of the denial of climate science or the holocaust and border crossing effects.

it has nothing to do with conflating one issue with the other. I has everything to do with calling out bullshit.
