Trump's communications director quits

Hope was a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model back in the not too long ago.

I think she'll be all right.

She might be able to get a gig on Faux Ruse, as an eye-candy skirt, but @ 29, she is probably getting too old for modeling. She will likely be pardoned by whoever is POTUS until 2021, if she is indicted by GJ for her possible role in any covering up during Trump's campaign and post-coronation. Hicks might also put out a book or books detailing her role as Trump's right tiny hand woman.

This list reads like desperate reaching. I never thought I'd see a base more blindly in love with their candidate than HRC but Trumpets continue to push the envelope every day.

I'm pretty sure Obama crushes Trump and Clinton on that score - and with a larger base as well.

Obama never had or encouraged any of his supporters loudly chanting to jail Bush or Cheney during campaign rallys while still early in his first term of office.

Nor did he encourage them to to threaten members of the accompanied media, and verbally/physically assault those who dared to protest against him during the rallys.

His presidency is certainly looked at with rosy glasses, I certainly can't argue with that. It will be interesting to see how history looks back on 44 and 45 with how vilified and hated they are by each side.

Dude...I cannot for the life of me find the SNL clip of Tina Fey, going back to the time of the 2008 Democratic primaries, saying "we in the media are totally in the tank for Obama..."

Or something very similar to that.

But it was some funny shit.

Was it a stint on weekend update? I thought it would be easy to find because she wasn't full time around 2008. I remember the Palin stuff and some weekend update appearances. I didn't find anything.

I'm pretty sure it was weekend update. Got a lot of replay on major media. Odd that neither of us can find a clip.

Really, it was as I recall during the Democrat campaign between Obama and Clinton - right around the time that Chris Matthews said something about Obama making his legs tingle, or something.

okay, so judging her on the standard of "Other Sports Illustrated Swimsuit models," she's average at best.

I'm guessing her personality leaves a lot to be desired.

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/03/06/us/politics/gary-cohn-resigns.html

Gary D. Cohn, President Trump’s top economic adviser, said on Tuesday that he would resign, becoming the latest in a series of high-profile departures from the Trump administration.

White House officials insisted that there was no single factor behind the departure of Mr. Cohn, who heads the National Economic Council. But his decision to leave came as he seemed poised to lose an internal struggle over Mr. Trump’s plan to impose large tariffs on steel and aluminum imports. Mr. Cohn had warned last week that he might resign if Mr. Trump followed through with the tariffs, which Mr. Cohn had lobbied against internally.

“Gary has been my chief economic adviser and did a superb job in driving our agenda, helping to deliver historic tax cuts and reforms and unleashing the American economy once again,” Mr. Trump said in a statement to The New York Times. “He is a rare talent, and I thank him for his dedicated service to the American people.”

Yeah, but she couldn't, if he didn't cheat (on all 3 of his wives).

so now fidelity in the white house matters? interesting. great interview by the way - does anyone care what a porn star thinks is a mark of good or bad character? MSNBC is looking to the other silicon valley for America's moral compass - classic. Not that the one everyone thinks of when you say silicon valley is any better. And people wonder why the media has a less favorable rating than even Trump because they'll validate anyone, so long as they can attack Trump - repressive, murderous dictators, porn stars, the mentally ill, etc, etc.

There are 2 sides to that coin. Why we pay attention to the people we do is a good question, but on the other hand, why do we ignore the people we do? It's not like there aren't well respected professionals also criticizing Trump. What do scientists say about his science policy? What do economists say about his economic policy ideas? What do political science experts say about his international politics? Nevermind all that, everybody argue about the porn star.

No other what passes for a "president" in recent history has loudly and arrogantly boasted of his sexual prowess and/or conquests, and no other party of theirs has claimed to have the moral "high" ground. The media reporting on what the supposed leader of the free world is saying, doing, and experiencing is what they are expected to do, and the only people who do not like it are those who support him, not including everyone else like you are implying. 2 of his wives are merely a name and a word and a couple of mouse clicks away from posed images of FFN. Trump invites public criticism and character assasssination, b/c he all so often publicly attacks others with and w/o provocation.
