According to Elias Sports, this 4-1 series win over the Twins is the first time since 1988 that the Tigers have won four or five games in a five-game series.

Don?t look now, but the Detroit Tigers are playing winning baseball.
With their 3-2 win Thursday, they have officially taken four-out-of-five against the AL Central-leading Minnesota Twins and have won six of their last seven overall.

Gregory Soto averages 98.1 MPH with his fastball?and he?s the 3rd hardest throwing reliever in the AL Central

Emmanuel Clase - 99.7
Jhoan Duran - 100.7

The Tigers won't stretch out Tyler Alexander as a starter in Triple A. He will throw 2 innings Saturday, then throw two innings again in another outing. Tigers hope to bring him back as a bridge reliever.
Detroit also hopes Eduardo Rodriguez will start a rehab assignment soon.

Riley Greene, playing his third game for the Mud Hens, just crushed a three-run HR to RF. He also has an opposite-field single tonight.

Damn.

Three wins in a row.

7 of the last 10.

Above .400 since the first time in a while.

7-3 last 10 games do that over the next 100 and go 70-30= 91 and 60 striking range of playoffs. Get players back off injury list and could happen. Just keep pitching good and get the offence going.
