U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame

I am going to go hug a tree.
Does that make me Left or just bat shit Crazy?
I just don't understand how a thread on the Astronaut Hall of Fame can delve into politics and religion. LOL.. Its ok I really don't care but it is strange sometimes.

That's an easy one Bob.

And while many will disagree (Red mostly), it will eventually help us evolve from a race of sun worshipers (which is basically all we are as long as the majority believes a deity created the heavens and earth) to an intelligent species more able to understand our place in what is too large a universe for our comprehension.

Woo! Does this mean you see me as the primary board religious nut?

No, just that you're the one most likely to be conflicted between the science and the supernatural.

I actually think there are minimum of 4 people who are far bigger "religious nut(s)" than you. But also less likely they would post in this thread.

I'd rank you 5th or 6th, depending on whether you include tLiar.

1st*: tStupid
t-2nd: Byco, KAWDUP, Mitchrapp
5th: LostLeader
6th: Red

. . . and we were off an running.

really? cause if you follow the thread we were back discussing science & technology (space elevator, high altitude rocket launches, etc.) until this post:

Let me know when we get to the ranking of elitist left-wing progressive atheists, then we can start rating you too champ. I'd hate to be left out of all the fun.

Well, the Apollo 8 crew read from Genesis on Christmas Eve, 1968 when they orbited the moon.

the crew of Apollo 13 safely guided their damaged lunar module back to Earth on the power of prayer and god's grace alone.

Yeah, well some people claim Crick said he was on LSD when he conceived the double helix.

And they played Spirit in the sky on their first TV appearance after launching.

That was likely the only reason the whole damn thing didn't blow up.

Yeah so?

There wouldn't be mine without yours. Are you saying now that because I continued the hi-jack, the whole damn religious discussion was my fault?

Tell me again - is the sky blue in your world? . . . because it is delusional to think it wouldn't have come back to religion somehow anyway.

well, despite the aside, the train had stayed on the tracks up until that point. you basically showed up and threw the switch that derailed the whole thing

Well then I guess I am that good. Thank You for the compliment.

I don't know if it's a matter of being good, unless you consider being a self-absorbed guy who changes the subject so it's always about him a good thing. Though that is what Jesus always did.

Actually, he always held up a mirror to his detractors. The confrontations were always very one-sided, but what could one expect?

Well "good" in the context of getting you off track merely by posting a response to one of your posts about ranking religious nuts. Not "good" as in that is what Jesus would have done. Poor analogy, even for you.

. . . and ROFL about being a self-absorbed guy (you are the king of being self-absorbed - I look to you for tips on that) - only in your case, your change of subject comes about through off-handed comments about people who aren't even posting in the thread. Can't put that one on me kemo sabi. You get what you asked for. Face it, my derailment (intended or not) is 100% your fault.

SO . . . you finished yet, or is more bait coming from the master baiter?
