I don't really have actual rankings, but if it helps with your understanding of my joke.

1st Tier:
sbee, michchamp, thumb

2nd Tier:
hughes, biggunsbob, monster (Although I have no idea where hughes, and biggunsbob are on the atheist scale).

Tinsel, you are pretty much more moderate, so maybe you would be 7th, but I have to ruminate on it some more.

Hey Red, I didn't mean to ignore your post, I would have to agree with michchamp here, you probably wouldn't be very high on that kind of list.

You are a bit of an "elitist", as it pertains to areas of your expertise maybe, but you do it with very little pretense. Also you are open to discussing the "opposite side", which many elitists aren't.

Actually "elitist" is one of my own after you posted about how you knew what was best for everyone - and the pundits should be listening to you. I wouldn't copy anything from Karl Rove. I have been calling you elitist since the ESPN days when you touted your opinions being worth more because you were more highly educated.

Actually you are elitist more than you are a progressive. If anything, I would remove that one.

It isn't that you aren't being nice when you tell me I am full of shit, it is purely statements you make in posts, as if they were fact, that you know better than everyone (for whatever reason). More well read, better educated, a lawyer, Krugman disciple, etc.

It is your effused attitude, not because you aren't courteous - trust me - I have not expected that for some time.

You don't consider yourself an intellectual heavyweight on this board? Now you're going to tell me I misjudged you.

There are quite a few intelligent people here, that in my opinion, are quite moderate. Maybe more center-right politically (if we would ever have a chance to even agree what that means), but not tied to any particular party, but more arguing from their background and value systems.

No matter what names I call you. I do not believe you are far enough left to be discounted as a complete radical. Your value system, atheist or no, was shaped in the same way as mine, and that is probably why I argue so vehemently with you. How did we end up on such opposite sides of so many issues? :*)

I like this. Maybe we should try it out...but not mean a lick of it. The less courteous we feel, the more courteous we should be. Board regulars would recognize it for what it is. And I like the phrases you selected. They're good ones. None of that "I dare say" BS. I'm not a fan of "I dare say".

is it possible at some point, they'll be captured by some star or large planet's gravity and either slam into it,or enter orbit around it as space junk?

over time, the stars move too (in general and in perspective from earth). was reading about how in 50,000 years, there will no longer be any Big Dipper; the stars constituting it will still be there, but they'll have moved positions.

Yeah that is cool too.. I know there are some simulation sites that you can look at the constellations both in the future and the past because the universes is a moving as you said.. Poor Galileo. What is it like 2 million years the milky way and Andromeda galaxy will munch on each other...
