He could think that. I don't know if he would be correct in his opinion though. MSU has one good win vs. Nebraska. I am sure one could make an argument that there are 25 teams that have had a better season than MSU. I wouldn't try to make that argument but my guess is that it wouldn't be a hard argument to make.

That's ridiculous. 25 teams may have exceeded expectations and thus had a better season in that regard, but that doesn't mean you rank them higher. if a team was expected to win 0 games but they go 1-11 does that mean they had a better year than a team expecting to win 11 games but goes 10-2? Fuck no.

didn't read his column, just saw on another board that is top 25 didn't have MSU.
