@ Boog21* @ C_Stone710*Barnes was told he'd been released by the team. Left complex. Before cut-list was submitted, they worked out a deal.

So it looks like he was going to be released, but we came with a trade. Lions must of felt Barnes wouldn't make it to them on waivers.

I don't think Mayhew gave up anything valuable to get Barnes, most likely a conditional pick that will get bumped to a 5th rounder if he starts for us. Otherwise maybe a 2014 7th rounder.

I think this is a good pick up by Mayhew, needed to add some depth, and he is a big CB. Maybe a change of scenery will help him just like it helped Houston
