ESPN might have stolen this kid's thunder, they released the story before he got a chance to announce it.
He's a raw talent, but he can shoot at 6-10. Has freakish length, he's got longer arms than Deyonta Davis. Will play the stretch 4 in college. Davis is a really good comparison physically. Jackson is a better shooter and has better handles, but Davis was a better shot blocker although Jackson is close to elite as a shot blocker too. Davis seemed more fundamentally sound, but Jackson seems a little more talented. And he has a full year before he gets on campus to add some weight, has a good frame and will probably play at 6-10, 240 as a freshman. Depending on how he develops I see him as a border line 1 and done player, but would probably stay 2 years.
Edit: He announced his decision to ESPN, so it was how he wanted to do it. Pretty low key.
