Reports say the Browns have offered pick #12 and #19 this year, and their first rounder and third rounder next year, for the #2 overall pick.

Three firsts and a third is identical to what the Redskins gave up for RG3, and every team should have learned from the mistake.

Football is a hard hitting sport, and injuries happen. You don't put all your eggs into one basket, when that basket is going to be hit 10+ times a game.

Plus, hot many QBs does Cleveland need before they find one that can play? Damn.

Honestly though if they keep there picks they still come out bad..And I'm not sure Tenn. knows what to do with all those picks either..

I don't think they're targeting a QB. Some other, much better options at 2.

They have no qb. IFFF they are moving up to get a qb you cant blame them. They have had multiple years of multiple #1 picks....its got them nowhere. Its a qb driven league and they have none. The alternative is sitting there comfortable with a qb that doesn't produce year after year and doing nothing. but I agree with monster...I would assume its for a different position. WR or DE? remember they lost their only wr threat....

maybe theres a TE they can grab that cant catch, cant block and runs a 4.6....I heard those are good guys to target in the top 10.

Crazy. It's not like Mariota is a universal lock to even be a good QB in this league.

If I was a betting man, I would bet he has a better career than Johnny Football.

And if anyone was an intelligent man, there is no way they would take that bet.

My "even bolder" prediction is that we don't see any pics of Mariotta rolling a $20 in a bathroom mirror at a nightclub on Instagram.

Which is why I always thought he woukd fail in the NFL and believe Mariota will be successful. Mariota comes across as smart on and off the field. I honestly think he will have an above average NFL career based on his personality, which to me comes across as more like the top QBs than the average QBs.

Don't really know much about Mariotta the person vs. Mariotta the QB. He seems likeable enough, and you're right, he seems smart.

I think he will be a good NFL QB, if the team that drafts him doesn't tear him down to the point he can't be built back up.

He's not a kid ready to start right away in my opinion. He needs some grooming, and he needs to be protected. If they let him go in there behind a bad line and get smashed, he's David Carr part 2.

I hope whichever teams ends up with him is prepared to give him the support he needs, as well as the time, and let him develop into a damned good QB, rather than feeding him to the wolves in a hurry, and wrecking him.

I see a Mettenburger and Mariota camp battle.

I don't, because Mettenberger has already demanded a trade when Mariotta was picked. They already see the writing on the wall.. he doesn't want to compete. He's a pussy afraid of having to beat out a rookie.

Deal him for whatever you can get and cut your losses. You got a "poor man's Tom Brady" who is afraid of competition. Funny too, because competition something Tom lives on. He would have been excited about the pick and the chance to beat out a kid for the job.

Mettenberger is fucking trash.

Him wanting a trade was just a rumor. I don't think either of these two are starting caliber NFL QBs.

You're right, Mettenberger didn't demand a trade, his agent did. And I fully believe Zach was behind it until the media started ripping him up for not being willing to compete, then the tune changed.

Kind of like Adrian Peterson, who couldn't trust the Vikings anymore... that is until the draft came and went without a trade, and now he's more than willing to trust them with a new contract, that he won't get.

By the time camp opens, he won't have a new deal, he will still be a Viking, and he will have "kissed and made up with the team he loves and plays for". Because he lost, at every attempt, and has no choices left.
