Why are you a Lions fan?

2 words: Barry Sanders.

Without him, I would probably have become a Bears or Colts fan since I could watch any of the three on Sundays.

I don't even like Hockey but my advice to you is this. Spend the money and go watch a hockey game in person. As far as an NFL game....save the money and watch it on TV.

This is completely true. I have been to two Lions games. 1 was the 1996 wild card game against the Pack. You know the one with the last second bomb from Favre to Sharp in the back of the endzone. Although the Silverdome was stupid loud. Ears rang for a week. Also one of the coldest times in my life was waiting for the shuttle bus to the stadium. Then I went to a game at FedEx in DC and we got blown out by 30. That was the year we went 6-10 after winning well in the first half of the season.

Red Wings games are probably one of my favorite sporting events. Hockey in general is just better live. The action and crowd is pretty intense. Best sport to see live.

Ok, new question. What was the most amazing sports moment that you watched live, in person, at the stadium or venue.

I've been to the Joe, I've been to the silver dome and ford field. I've also been to both Tiger Stadium and Comerica Park.

The single most amazing thing that I can remember was Hulk Hogan body slamming Adre the giant during wrestlemania III at the Silver dome in 1987.:lmao: I know it's fake as hell but I was only 7 years old at the time. For me that still stands out as the most amazing thing I've ever seen.

Relatively new, packers vs Detroit at night - Barry runs an 80 yards TD. Next time we got the ball, first play he ran 80 yards again. That was called back on a penalty but still exciting. Not sure it's the most amazing, kind of like asking what's your favorite movie, but it's the first thing I thought of.

I think I remember that, was it called back on offensive holding on the side of the field opposite of the play? And an iffy call at that? The Boo from the crowd sounded like a 747?

I don't remember all that happened but I do remember the play was far away where Barry was running. And we won the game.
