Like ?widespread? election fraud, excessively wealthy is pretty subjective and relative

Compared to to the impoverished working poor in parts of the world, everyone on this board is excessively wealthy.

The working poor in this country are probably excessively wealthy compared to the working poor in some other parts of the world.

If he?s referring to Joseph from the book of Genesis being sold into slavery to the Egyptians by his jealous brothers, 20 pieces of silver is actually correct.

It's not though. It's selfish, not smart. Makes the US a worse place. The lawyers sifting through the selfish bullshit that jackasses figure they can get away with abusing the system - are a wasted resource. They could be doing something to make America better instead of worse. So you've got the person getting screwed and the wasted effort of the smartest people rich people can afford.
 
We waste too many smart people on finance and middle management too.


I just don't believe, if free market capitalism were operating at maximum efficiency, we would have x% of people making stuff, y% in service, z% in the military, and a giant mountain of people shuffling agreements around, figuring out who gets what and arguing over it. Isn't it like 20% of the economy?

Before the times of Jesus, 20 pieces of silver was the common idiom to represent selling out, from the story of Joseph that I referred to.

Jewish people still use 20 pieces of silver, as Jews view Jesus as being just another crazy Jew, like Einstein or Karl Marx.

You would know things of this nature, and many other important and worthwhile things, if you would only, as tiger mud recommends read your Bible.

Nice. When he's broke it's because of his incompetence and when he's rich it's because of his corruption. Somehow that switch just didn't flip until later in life.

It's possible to be both and there's ample evidence of this in the case of Biden. It's also not uncommon for that switch to flip later in life - mind you, I'm not saying it did nor do I believe it did. I still think Biden is both corrupt and an incompetent clown. That's the role he played in his own party for decades - the affable buffoon nobody took seriously. He was basically laughed every primary cycle as he was forced to bow out after being exposed as a pathological liar or incompetent numbskull, only to humiliate himself again the next time. Then suddenly, he got the VP nod from an extreme leftist who saw him as a harmless dope who would balance out his ticket. And now, he's the Dem's last great hope

By the way. isn't that the whole story of Trump? In the popular press, and even on here, he's the corrupt evil genius who got away with colluding with the Russians, and at the same time, the most incompetent President ever who destroyed and divided America? Why can't that also be the case for Biden? Oh, because you like Biden. I forgot.

but we're not talking about his followers, are we? You're not implying the popular press and most posters on DSF are among his "followers" are you? But since you bring it up, none of his supporters I know, myself included don't think he's playing 4D chess. I really don't think the job is all that hard. Doing what's right for the country and punching back against a corrupt, dishonest media and entrenched establishment isn't "big brained" stuff. It's really quite simple, it comes down to will more than it does complex strategy.
