It turns out that Donald Trump’s proposed border wall is not such a bad idea after all. Though Mexico’s current and former Presidents have both lambasted Trump for implying that a wall would curb immigration, it turns out that Mexicans like the idea.

There is one small caveat, however. Mexicans don’t want to build the wall on the U.S.-Mexico border, but rather, they want to stem the tide of immigration into their own country by building the wall on their southern border with central America:

I'm not a fan of Sotomayr's comments, i said that earlier. I didn't read the entire speech and i'm going off of a few cherry picked sentences out of context. Trump's statements about justices are just one example of the nonsense that he spews constantly.

We could argue abortion all day long, that wasn't my intention. My point is to say that he's clueless because he said that women should be punished for having a legal medical procedure. then he switched gears hours later and said that the doctors should be punished for performing a legal medical procedure. Even if Roe v Wade is overturned, there's still no argument for retroactively applying the new laws and punishing people for that.

The fact that he even thinks these things is just an automatic disqualifier. He's obviously making these positions up on the fly without much thought or perspective.

as for your abortion comment, I believeTrumps statements were made in the context of if abortion was made illegal - not that he wants to just start arresting Drs and/or mothers who slaughter their innocent, defenseless babies.

Seriously, Hillary is a scumbag...but people need to stop pretending voting for Trump would be taking any kind of high ground over her, it's quite possible what Trump suggests is treason.

Of course immigration needs to be reformed and securing and patrolling our border needs to be done but the wall is just window dressing. Never mind the cost and impractical nature of it (it's all private property), but if you're concerned about keeping us safe from terrorists, it's a very expensive means to an insignificant end.

ISIS isn't looking to infiltrate the US through Mexico or Syrian refugees, they'll look to inspire American citizens. The wall will make some people feel good but as far as the real results that are delivered, well, you're better off concentrating your efforts elsewhere.

This is the kind of impractical and largely ineffective simple solution that makes sense to the rubes who vote for Trump and watch UFC.

of course the exact numbers are unknown but using the census data it certainly doesn't seem like there's a steady stream of Mexicans flooding our cities while the ones here are staying permanently. You'd assume that their presence in the country is transient based on employment status and how well the economy is going in either country.

If you want to "solve" the problems, overhaul immigration, guest worker status, etc. the demand for cheap labor isn't going away, I don't see American born citizens showing up at 5am to pick produce for meager wages.

you wouldn't assume employment status was the main driver if you knew one state had far more generous welfare benefits and that state provided much of those benefits to illegal aliens.

It is also rather funny how it gets worded by the nutbags accusing him of treason. He isn't enjoining them to hack anything. Two points always left out.

1) He said "IF" the Russians had them", not asking them to perform some sort of espionage. The deed would have already been done.
2) That server of Hillary's that had the E-mails on it, does not exist anymore. There is nothing to hack - again they would have had to have been included whenever they got the original e-mails that were already released.

Trump is an idiot for saying anything about it, but the nutbags calling for treason charges are just as much idiots. Just laughable the extent of the rhetoric.

One thing is for sure, the Trumpster stole the news cycle again. He basically trolled the liberal pundits, and they fell for it- much like our own Michchamp does.

Illegal immigrants don't qualify for AFDC, medicaid, food stamps, etc. You have to show proof of legal citizenship to qualify for these programs according to the 1996 welfare law. Even legal immigrants don't qualify unless they've been here a minimum of 5 years.
