Does is really matter who this idiot ownership hires? I mean I will drink the cool aid and hope for the best under JC and hopefully we will get our pot at the end of the rainbow..
Hopefully this hire will be different but there really has to be a reason top coaching talent stays away from Detroit.. It has to be the ownership...

The only "pot" that Lions fans have known about so far was eaten up by Mikel LeShoure or was taken by the cops from their current DT Nick Fairley and their former WR Charles Rogers cars..dlol

The Lions hired Caldwell, supposedly after having met with him as their first interviewee...so apparently they either didn't discuss who Jimmy II planned to add to his staff. or more likely they did and he dropped some names, none of whom were even close to being on board yet.

That strikes me as being curious if not being very unprepared, since the names that did leak out soon joined up with other teams' staffs. So now some other names are popping up but they are not sure bets either.

So the Lions hire who might have been their distant second choice for HC, and the HC may wind up adding who would be perhaps his 4th or 5th choices for OC/DC and who their choices are for assistants...just fucking peachy..hell..Caldwell may not even have the faintest clue and not know yet who he might be able to lure or worse, cajole into joining his staff...yikes!!!

Because that is how the Lions brain-trust rolls.We (well..some of us anyway) Lions fans witnessed the loong tenure of the late Russ Thomas and the head-scratching continued employ, and especially the ill-advised/fated 5-year extension of who is likely to forever be the worst GM in NFL history...Matt Millen.
