Wisconsin to be a Night Game

Good!

Hate noon starts.

Don't like waiting around all day for the game to start. I would prefer 3:30pm for every single game, but at least it isn't another Nooner.

Did I mention how much I hate noon games?

my dumb cousin scheduled his wedding for that day, so at least now I'll be able to watch during the reception.

We're going back for Penn State. Already attended a night win over them ...thinking Nov 3rd may not be ideal weather for a night game.

I'll be at the game. This will be the first time I've watched a true night game in person and I'm hoping our section isn't full of drunken idiots.

the crowds for the UTL games I went to were surprisingly no more drunk than usual, from what I remember.

at least among "grown ups" ... saw some kids struggling to make it there, but that was always the case, even among earlier starts.

The real thing I didn't like was discovering that fighting crowds to make it home sucks way worse at midnight than it does at 3:30 PM or even 7 PM. Especially if you've been drinking all day.

and as noted above, it's going to be cold as hell there.

Not too bad. It?s only a few days after Halloween, and growing up and then I was partying as a Michigan student I don?t remember any Halloweens being on comfortably cool.

I suppose it still could be. Is there a limit to the number of night games our team can play at home?

I read over at MGOBlog from some apparent "Insiders" that the PSU game will be a night game, also...

depending on how each team does over the next 3 weeks, of course. If Michigan and/or PSU lose some games, it won't be as appealing as a night game

Night games must be announced 12 days out...

Thought so too, since that's a divisional rival... we can afford to lose this game, for conference championship purposes.

No, overall big 10 record is the first decider...

right?

In the event of a tie....this should make it as clear as mud.

The following procedure will determine the representative from each division in the event of a tie:

(a) If two teams are tied, the winner of the game between the two tied teams shall be the representative.

(b) If three or more teams are tied, steps 1 through 8 will be followed until a determination is made. If only two teams remain tied after any step (or sub-step), the winner of the game between the two tied teams shall be the representative. If three or more teams remain tied after any step, move to next step in tiebreaker with remaining tied teams.

1. The records of the three tied teams will be compared against each other.

2. The records of the three tied teams will be compared within their division.

3. The records of the three teams will be compared against the next highest placed teams in their division in order of finish (4, 5, 6, and 7).
(a) When arriving at a group of tied teams while comparing records, use each team's record against the collective tied teams as a group, rather than record against the individual teams.

4. The records of the three teams will be compared against all common conference opponents.

5. The best cumulative conference winning percentage of non-divisional opponents.
(a) Example: East 1 non-divisional opponents are 20-7, East 2 non-divisional opponents are 19-8, East 3 non-divisional opponents are 14-13 - East 1 would be the representative.

6. The records of the three teams will be compared against the highest placed non-divisional teams in their division order of finish (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7).

(a) When arriving at a group of tied teams while comparing records, use each team's record against the collective tied teams as a group, rather than record against the individual teams.

(b) When comparing records against a single team or a group of teams, the record will prevail, even if the number of games played against the team or group are unequal (i.e. 1-0 is better than 0-0, 2-0 is better than 1-0, etc.)

7. The team with the best overall winning percentage [excluding exempted games] shall be the representative.

8. The representative will be chosen by random draw.

Well that?s simple.

Thanks for clearing that up.

. . .and as noted above, it's going to be cold as hell there.

Hopefully it won't be as bad as the 2004 MSU game. Not only was it cold that day, it was also windy as hell. I was standing on my seat and a sudden gust knocked me into the person in front of me.

.

As noted above, by in post #12, the person who most remembers what Ann Arbor weather is like that week-a.k.a., me-I don’t remember it ever being very cold on Halloween or even four days afterward.

EDIT: My bad, of course, three days after.
