Okay, you get one guy.. one pick here. Who is the one remaining free agent you would most like to see the Lions go get?

We will pretend for a minute that we can afford any player left on the market and that player would be signed to a good deal for all sides.. so no griping over who costs too much or what value we should be looking for. Just the one guy you'd most like to see in blue and silver next year.

I'm going to pick Patrick Robinson, CB. I think he took big steps last season and he and Slay would make a damned nice CB combo.

I heard Mckelvin was released last week. If he hasn't been picked up already he wouldn't be a bad CB/S....guy has been a ballhawk throughout his career. Is he injured or something?

I thought the Eagles signed him to a two-year deal?

If you don't get Okung...spend the money on Chris Long and see what he has left. If you don't get Chris Long....give Reggie Nelson like 4 mil for safety depth.

Junior Galette on a one or two year incentive laden deal if he checks out medically.

Beacham - LT
Fairley - DT
Reggie Nelson - S
Alfred Morris - RB

Beacham is nearly as talented as Okung....is 3 years younger and would be cheaper.

Fairley probably wouldn't come to Detroit....but Mayhew is gone so maybe he'd reconsider. He's still a disruptive interior DL.

Nelson is still an above average S....and picked off 8 passes last year.

Morris is a quality big back that could carry the load if needed.

All these players could add veteran leadership.....are still productive players ....and most importantly, can be had for very team friendly deals.

Okung is the best FA on the market hands down. Now that being said the market is out of stock.
