I just want absolutely nothing to do with Gurley. Nothing. Something about him just puts me off. Not the injury. Him. So for me, it's a lineman or Gordon.

It's not that I would mind Gordon. He is a good player. Exciting runner. But I think you lose value by taking him at #23 when you could get a guy like Langford in the 3rd and, IMO, he will be just as productive.

I would rather take a good DL, OL or CB in the 1st and 2nd and Langford in the 3rd.

If available.....I wan't Malcom Brown, DT, Texas at #23.

This is one year where I don't really have a favorite coming into the draft. That's probably because we are picking low (who knows who will still be on the board?) and have a bunch of needs. We have to come out of this draft with multiple starters though. I'm inclined to go OL first, DL second, then snag a skilled player or DB third. I wouldn't have a problem if those needs flipped based on BPA either. There are some interesting guys out there who could slip a bit and they'd be hard to pass up. If we went back-to-back picks on either line, I wouldn't throw a fit either. For example, if we landed La'el Collins in the first and Laken Tomlinson in the second, that'd be fine by me since we need a guard, a tackle, and a little OL depth. I'd also be alright with us taking a DT and a DE in rounds 1 & 2. Whoever we take needs to be good and ready to play though. I don't want a project or an injured guy. My fear there is that Gurley drops in our laps and we have to take him on talent alone, then he turns into an injury bust. He's super talented and fills a need, the injury concern just scares the heck out of me, especially for a skilled player who really needs the speed and burst.

Not sure reaching out telling everyone how you want to move down nets you the best return on your pick.

Should put the feelers out there. They use the draft trade chart still.

It's normal. They aren't going out saying "Hey, there is no one we want at 23, so we'll take a 4th rounder and a 2nd for our pick".

What they are doing is letting other teams know the pick is available for the right package.

When you only have 10 minutes on the clock, you don't have to call every other team and see who wants to deal. You have to put out those feelers ahead of time.

Could the Ravens want to move up and get a running back? Could the Bucs want to move a bigger package and come back up from #33 to get the LT that can protect Winston? Would the Cowboys want to make a splash?

You gotta let teams know ahead of time if you're willing to trade down.

even if mayhew wanted to....we all know he cant get it done. he WANTS to every year....

He can get it done. He's traded down in other rounds. Someone has to really want someone at 23 to move up. Possible. I'd stay in Round 1 though due to the fifth year option.

No one trades back into the first round to take an injury prone running back.

I went other. I'm on the Clemmings train...sure I'm a bit biased, but athleticism and versatility are there, along with some untapped potential.

Adrian Peterson was considered injury prone and he was drafted top ten. Does gurley have other people injuries or just this one? Also most running backs have injuries throughout their career. Only a few special ones don't.

Id be happy if we grab one of the following players

Gurley, Gordon, Peat, Kevin Johnson, or Malcom Brown

Good list, I'd add Peters to mine. Aside from off the field issues, I like PJ williams as well. Most here think he'll be a safety in the nfl, which is somewhat probable. He reminds me of Xavier Rhodes alot. Which if my memory serves me correctly he was viewed as a guy that would move to safety.
