Definitely earned it. 7-1 on the road during league play.

Great season, startd 5-4 and they've won 9 of 10. Could get a good seed in the ncaa if they win the btt. Psu is tough but they beat us a long time ago

Maybe the men's team should take some notes from the ladies who can actually beat who they're supposed to beat (aside from one awful loss to Illinois ironically).

was it at least on the road? did they at least score in the 50s?

Nope, it was at home but they did score 51 lol

I just don't get it - the more I look at it the more annoying it gets. How does Payne tie for 3rd for most shots taken in that game with just 5, especially considering he had ZERO fouls - and he tied Appling who has an injured wrist on his shooting hand. He attempted just 1 foul shot. Payne and/or Harris should score close to 30 against Illinois - how does the whole team manage just 46? I know they have a streak of holding teams to low scores right now but it's mostly against teams that don't really score anyway - Neb 2x, NW, OSU, PSU...

as for Payne, they aggressively double teamed and sometimes triple teamed him when he had the ball, he found Harris once, Schilling once, but for the most part he didn't know what to do and wasn't assertive on offense. he should have taken to the perimeter a little bit to stretch the defense but I don't think he took any outside shots, maybe one.

He took a total of 5 shots, 1 from 3. If they were double teaming him, he definitely wasn't very assertive/decisive because he only took 5 shots, just 2 assists and got to the foul line once. That's pathetic.

nobody is saying that he played well but you're not going to shoot out of a double or triple team. you can find open players but he wasn't doing a good job of that.

I'm not just criticizing him for not shooting into double and triple teams (although he could have gotten to the line a lot more than once if he asserted himself at all inside). No, I'm criticizing him for an all-around horrible performance. Not only was he not aggressive, he didn't find the open man when he was double and triple teamed. Also, with just one shot from 3 he didn't do anything to stretch the defense and maybe open up the paint for others or himself. add to all this the fact that he finished the game with 0 fouls and it's clear he had a horrible game all around.
