great old park celebrates the century mark. i was there once in 2002 when i was stationed in Great Lakes NTC when i was in the navy

I have a lot of good memories there but that place was a dump in a shitty neighborhood and needed to be torn down.

i was there in 1998 during her final year. i loved that part but building Comerica Park was a hell of a lot cheaper then remodeling Tigers Stadium

Pretty sure 1999 was the last year they played there. I played in a Tigers Fantasy Camp weekend there that summer when the Tigers were on a road trip. The old ball park never looked so grand. However, the talent on the field that weekend certainly had seen better days!

I sat through too many games that had "obstructed view" at Tiger stadium. I have yet to have such a seat at Comerica.

I saw a game at Wrigley in '85. Seats were close to Harry Caray, which I hated, but I'm glad I went.

i sat along left field when the Dbacks came to town. Sammy Sosa was still with the team and that was the season some idiotic White sox fan poured weed killer over a 10 foot section of the ivy in center field

I was there that week also, on a mini-vacation. What they are doing to that treasured ballpark these days is great for advanced technology and revenue, but terrible for historians of the game.

Wow, that's horrible. I completely forgot about that.

That may have been the same week when I saw Sammy Sosa get into his car and leave the ballpark, in the middle of the 7th inning, playing against Montreal.

In further checking online, it was September 7th, 2004 and he was caught driving away.

I was watching one the games 2 wks ago. The announcer said the starting pitcher in the first game at Wrigley got served papers for jumping to the Federal League. So, he had to come out of the game. He was actually served in the dugout in the middle of the game.
