Get StartedDid the coaching staff lose this team? Team captains and key players decline to play in the bowl, collapse on both sides of the ball at the end of the season again this year. Players leaving early or transferring. What is going on in this program?

It's stuck in 1980.
I agree with rumsey. I really do think there's something more broken than that; I know I'm not the only one here who watched the result in the OSU game and wondered WTF was going on with our defense.
Granted, the scheme and playcalling have almost always been weak under Harbaugh, and maybe got a little better last season, but defensive collapses like that should NEVER happen to this team.
I would be 100% behind some substantial changes to the offensive staff (other than Warriner who should stay). and Don Brown has some things to answer for, but there's something else really wrong when a Top 10 team falls apart like that. And it started with the IU game. They looked shellshocked that week, and didn't seem to be ready to play the next week... and I gather that continued in the Bowl.
There was some rumblings that the players were not on the same page. A little birdy told me from a internet site that may or may not be reliable! It appears that could be the case.
Seriously how did we all know about the crossing patterns but not Mr Blitz?

I'm curious what "not on the same page" means. like some of them were screwing around the whole time? They believed they were just that good and no amount of coaching could nip that attitude in the bud?
Or were there actual conflicts in the locker room? conflicts between players and coaches?
I seem to remember definitely hearing SOMEONE say "IU has shown a blueprint of how to attack this defense." after the close call in that game. maybe one of the announcers?
it's almost like Brown ignored that. or heard it and just said "whatever"
Harbaugh presumably meets with Brown regularly and never said, "let's fix the cracks that Mike DeBord and IU exposed"???
Or he did and Brown ignored him?
And/OR they tried to fix the issues and the players were like "yeah, no, we're just going to mail this one in" because of the aforementioned "not on the same page" thing?
Inquiring minds want to know.
