Zack Zenner on IR with cracked ribs and collapsed Lung...

The Lions are so pathetic....we have 12 pages of posts arguing about an undrafted 3rd string running back's potential to be a quality starting RB.

Here are the facts. The Lions don't have a single starting caliber RB on the roster.

End of thread.

We have a top 10 back in Bell, one of the greatests 2nd round RBs ever in AA, and possibly a UDFA that falls between Arian Foster and Priest Holmes as the greatest UDFA ever. They just need the carries. If you extrapolate only the good stuff they do and ignore their bad plays, you will see how loaded we are at RB......unless you mention the QB struggling, then the QB is struggling because we don't have a single RB that is worth a thing. It's all context, right now we have elite talent. Bad luck with injuries that's all..bad luck.

right...and they have a great GM that makes great trades, great FA acquisitions and is great at the draft but when the QB plays poorly it is because they have a shitty line and no run game.

Warford, when healthy. Pretty bad when I'd take Raoila and Backus back right now.

Warford and Reiff

And with one year of experience Laken and Swanson could be pretty good in 2016.

Man Ram played well this year too.

So really just a right tackle since Waddle can't stay healthy and is not the same as he once was.

Big, strong, fast, and good instincts. What's not to like?

Add on the fact he protects the football extreme well and doesn't go backwards when hit, more often falling forward for extra yards than being stopped in his tracks, at least upon first contact.

He doesn't get 100+ yards on 10 carries in every game is the problem, since they still won't define their qualifications for a good RB.

That hasn't done anything.

And the conversation was never about his skill set. It was because someone said he's done well. Based on what we know, 60 rushing yards in 6 games. The game he got the most carries, 10 for 30, blame the OL, valid or not.. is that Zenner hasn't done anything yet. Just speculation that he would do well with a better OL. You don't know that, I don't know that. At one time I thought Harrington was going to be good. But based on what we know he wasn't.

Again, not about skill set but fact the guy said he'd be a 100 yard per game guy if he was on a run first offense. And he bases that on what he's done first 6 games. How is that even possible.

Peace.

He gets 5 touches per game. Wtf could you possibly expect with the little amount of work? I like what I've seen from him on those limited touches more than Bell and Abdullah. That's all I'm saying.

Nothing. But based on those 5 touches the other guy thinks he'd be a 100/per game back with a first run offense. In-fact I think he guaranteed it. He could, anythings possible.. but right at this moment he hasn't done a thing to warrant such praise. In the end I hope he is a valued RB.

That isn't saying much!

At least Abdullah has that big play ability...just can't hold on to the ball. Bell...he is garbage.

At the end of the day he's just another RB hopefully who has done little. Not my opinion, facts. Maybe if he showed he was better than AA in summer he would have started for us. Easy to say he's the best of the 3 when he's on IR. If only..

I'm sure ZZ is a nice kid. But if he ends up playing a lot, it's another wasted 2nd round pick.

We'll never know.. What if he wasn't an IR, what if he got more touches, what if the OL was better, what if we were a 1st run offense.. WHAT IF.

Slay is good. Abdullah has good elusivness, catching and hands. Work on the damn fumble or CHEAT like the Patriots and under inflate the ball so you only average 6.4 fumbles a season.

Our 4th string back up rb from idaho church of laderday saints christian university is no good and only saw playing time because of the lack of talent on this team. He would play for no other team in the world. ...ever.
