Why would you eliminate the game where he got most his work? You are basing this on 7 carries on fresh legs over 3 games. Hardly enough body of work to say he can sustain a 4.3 YPC average. The guy is an unknown, he has proven nothing, he is a nobody.

That game is removed because despite the fact he ran for 3.0 average, he was the best Lions RB that day. That means the OL was shit and the OC called terrible plays that game.

The remaining games include one where he averaged 3.0 ypc (SD).

Seriously though, what is your demands of the guy? You are being absolutely unreasonable in bashing on him. I'm not saying he is All-Pro, but he was moving up into the #1 RB slot.

He hasn't shown great vision, hasn't shown the ability to make a cut. He is a straight ahead down hill runner. He's ran the ball 17 times in the NFL. He can fill out a RB by committee group as the third guy, but as a prime RB, I just don't see it yet.

The teams he's played against were 32nd (2 carries), 24th (3 carries), 21st (10 carries), and 9th (2 carries) against the run in terms of YPC.

Damn man, I am not saying he IS the greatest ever. I am saying it would have been nice to see him have a complete game vs the Bears, even if that meant roughly 10 carries like in the game vs the Cards. We don't know if he has the skills to be a #1 or not. You and Mitch make it sound like he sucks. He is an UDFA rookie. He was continually improving at a steady pace and was earning snaps, but all you and Mitch do is bitch that he isn't AP quality.

Based on what??? Maybe the math escaped you, but as I pointed out he showed the potential to run for 4.3 YPC. YOU provided the 26 rush attempt data. 4.3 x 26 > 100. You get all upset when I mention 4.3 because vs Arizona he was only able to get 3.0 while completely ignoring the fact that was still better than the other RBs. You cry that it was only AA and ZZ...well, if Riddick is so great, why didn't he get carries in that game?

Define "special". What are you requiring in terms of YPC and YPG? YOU still cannot answer that for some reason. You continue deflecting instead of being a man and stating a concrete YPC and YPG that YOU believe is a baseline that separates good from trash.

He is in a pass first/running back by committee offense, yet you seem to demand he get more carries in order to prove himself. I'm pretty sure he would love to have the additional carries, pretty sure he isn't saying to the coaches "No, no...I...I can't take another carry, you will need to give the other guys the ball this snap." Pretty sure he isn't saying "Yeah coach, dial up another play where I don't touch the ball!" WTF do you want HIM to do about the lack of touches that are still more than the other RBs????
